It really is time that "we" cut out the gimmicks and made a fecking plan, for the long term future.
Instead we try to be "innovative", always thinking we've found the magic formula, yet, rarely does it work.

Magic weekend is a plus but, we have long since moved away from the concept of taking RL to new territories and we yo-yo between Newcastle (which is good) and Manchester (smack in the middle of the M62).

It's a good job that no other RL teams have had issues with player discipline off field that led to sackings and suspensions so that some of here can take the moral high ground and use this to say the whole Toronto venture is doomed. Funny it seems to be fans of clubs most of risk of a SL place of North America is successful that are the most critical whilst forgetting past player incidents at their clubs.

Indeed, I love the idea of RL in Canada but it starts at grass roots and builds up, there is no quick fix and no Sugar Daddy who will do it for us.

The only reason Catalan was a success was because it fundamentally already existed, all the French game neede was a leg u. Tolouse can't come soon enough - so long - as it not at the expense of an existing club - add YES - Replace NO! Thats not how the Aussoes do it , it may be franchise but it's an addition every time.

Roy, none of us has actually said we don't want RL to succeed. It's because we are not into expansion extremism.

Allow me to bring this thread back on track, in the face of the thread diversionists.

I see that the Toronto Wolfpack have a problem in the loss of three prop forwards. They can possibly rectify the problem but only with great difficulty, since most talent is already committed. In fact they probably have to be able to find some players in Australia or New Zealand who are willing to walk out on their existing contracts with the lure of more money. The New Zealand Warriors for example seem to have a surplus of props.

Until we know what offence was committed by the three sacked players, we cannot ascribe blame to Wolfpack management for signing them in the first place. But I would be looking in New Zealand for emergency replacements.
