Can't see what I've got to be sore about. It's Wakefield's name being dragged through the mud when this was on Calendar the other night.

That and bloodied faces in the crowd at Belle Vue shown live on Sky sports last season does damage for attracting fans and sponsors to Wakefield not Bradford.

Why?

2 reasons.

1. Who else are RFL supposed to punish to try and stop this? Other clubs shouldn't have to pay the price for having the sport's good name brought into disrepute by Wakefield. WHat else could Leeds United have done to stop the trouble in Paris at the European Cup Final? Nothing but Uefa had to ban them. Same here apply the fine from last season and issue another one for this.

2. It's about the rules being applied fairly to everyone. You chumps are obsessed by that. I know it's none of my business but I might write a letter.

Chill out it's a point for discussion. I know your club chairman set an example jumping into the stand f'in and blindin at everyone on Sunday but aggression is not the way forward.

So if it were the other way round, with Cas fans letting off smoke bombs off at Belle Vue, would Wakey still have to cop the fine?

I brought it up for discussion, especially as all clubs have their idiots. Punishments should be for all clubs, and fans who break the rules. It is definitely a hot topic on the Wakefield site and shows they are concerned.

I think Hull FC have proved something can be done about aggressive and violent fans. A consistent approach over several years has had an impact.

I'm not particularly bothered about one incident in isolation but when there are reports each season then some responsibility lays at the door of the club.

Two idiots in a crowd of almost 11,000 decided to throw a smoke bomb. Anyone who knows names should give them to the club. Anyone who recognises them at the next game should point them out to stewards.

Fair play though . I can see where you are coming from . There are so many moronic incidents that there should maybe be a subsection for them . It could be named 'the sin bin' or something similar .

People can try and down play this but Wakefield fans have developed a reputation for trouble now.

The league have to sanction them as they continue to do it and they deserve it. It's tough on the innocent people not involved but that's the nature of punishments.

I don't normally post, but if you are going to slate me, at least get your facts right. I wasn't 'f'in and blinding' at all. I was trying to find the culprits to a joke shop smoke canister. On my way back to my seat I uttered an expletive under my breath, but was conscious later on that I said it near a young mum, with kids. That was why I later publicly apologised. I guarantee if I hadnt, nobody would have even known about it!

I have it on good authority that it was a rocket propelled grenade! I was lucky to get out alive apparently.

Initially the first people who can do something about this kind of things are the clubs themselves. Following the semifinal problems last year Widnes are still working with Cheshire police to "sort out" their troublemakers. Last year Warrington issued bans of 5 years and 2 years (IIRC) against 2 of its fans involved in the use of flares at games. If the clubs themselves do whatever that can to try and sort the problems out, what can by added by the RFL getting involved. Are these idiots really going to "behave because it will cost the club a bit of cash".

The issue of smoke bombs and flares is unfortunately going to increase as a problem area for a number of reasons:-
a) some of the idiots think they are the same think....they are not. Smoke bombs tend to be a irritant, flares are dangerous.
b) the idiots do not realise that even the so called "harmless smoke bombs" can infact cause distress to others and can result in some people requiring serious medical treatment
c) there is not a uniform approach by police forces. Some forces treat the possession of flares etc as being no different as a firework whereas other forces treat them as explosive devices.......yes, take a smoke bomb to the wrong stadium and you could be speaking to the anti-terrorism squad.

Fortunately ALL clubs actually have within them a means of rooting out the trouble makers and making the matching experience better for all. That mena sis the vast majority of fans who go to the game to enjoy the day, hopefully celebrate a victory and then go home with fond memories.

The smoke bombs should not have been allowed in the ground, or let off by anyone attending a sporting event. End of story.
There should have been some stewarding to eject the person/people involved, which there wasn't.
A solitary female steward appeared about 15 minutes after the incident, which was too late to prevent or deal with what happened.

Although not I an way defending the "trouble" after the game, again, with some better stewarding, there wouldn't have been anything at all and it was certainly as much to do with the Cas fans as Wakefield.

You seem to have some other problem that you are not telling anyone about o, perhaps you are just bitter that, you are playing in the second tier.

Our club and Chairman are doing everything they can to sort this and if you have any information that can help, please contact them.

So the Wakefield club and chairman personally have asked for the smoke bombers to be identified and have publicly said they will be banned.
The smoke didn't affect the game or the crowd, apart from making the club look stupid
No one has actually complained about any bad language, only those offended on someone else's behalf
MaccBull has raised his abhorrence at the the smoke bombers, the Wakefield club, the supporters and chairman on both the Wakefield and Bradford sites....Oh and the RFL.....even though he wasn't there.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction as I'd hate to be the one to spread a lie. Better point it out to the Wakefield fans on the forum saying this as that's actually the only reason I knew about ot.

All I've said is that repeat offenders should in my opinion be punished.

For the record Wakefield are clearly a very well run club by a hard working set of administrators and I wish them well for the rest of the season.

Don't read our forum, other the predictions thread, but I have also pointed out to one of our so called 'fans' about what I did or didn't say on a Facebook page. That's the danger with hearsay I suppose.

I'm sorry for helping to spread tittle tattle that's clearly a load of rubbish.

In fact I need to apologise full stop for this because I've gone too far with this.

I wasn't there last week so it's nothing to do with me. For what it's worth as an outsider looking in you're doing a great job and having visited belle Vue as an away supporter the fans at Wakefield like at every other club are a good lot.
