| Hard lines Fev - given their heroic performance against Cas, it would have been nice to see them get a slightly less impossible assignment in the next round.
Upset of the round - Batley will turn London over; you heard it here first.

Really?
Fev away to Wigan after a display like that against Cas.
Leigh v Halifax should be a decent game between two fairly even sides.
Warrington v Bulls should be a test of the Bulls new found form.
Just how exciting do you want it?

Beat me to it Bren. Well worth a visit to Mount Pleasant.

Have they switched it already?
Would have preferred a few more all-SL ties but got to be happy at drawing a Championship team, even if it's one of the best. A televised quarter final is a big incentive.

Firstly, that isn't a dig at Fev...I have nothing against them.
But Wigan are not Castleford...Fev will surely raise their game again...but Wigan are on fire at the moment...I just can't see it being close.
My point was mainly aimed at the best line up for TV games....and I stand by Wire v Bulls and Salford v Leeds.
I'm a London fan....believe me, we are more than capable of being shocked by Batley...although, I still think we'll go through......once the next round comes about and we land a SL standard team...then it's good bye to the cup from us!
But...the beauty of knock out sport is that on any given day an upset can occur...

In the 4th round there were 3 games that looked like they would be crackers, Fev v Cas, Hull v Hudds and KR v Catalan. Hull v hudds didnt turn out that way but saints v widnes turned out to be an exciting game.
Warrington will beat bulls by at least 18, Fev have will be unable to repeat there performance against Cas and even if they did they would still lose to Wigan. Leigh v Halifax could be a good game but I have to admit I dont follow championship rugby so wouldnt have much idea on how that would go.
Looking forward to the next round though, that will be good.

| Really hope Fev get the TV game V the humbles.
Leigh will beat Fax, then draw the winner of Batley v London at LSV, win that, then draw the humbles.
Do them and go to Wembley.
You heard it here first!
Oh look, some rocking horse s**t!

| Considering London's recent form it would be good to see Batley v London Bronco's on BBC.
Its the cup and surely even though its only a small chance of a upset (as Bronco's should still win) at least its 2 clubs from differing leagues thus giving it a cup feel in the early rounds.
If Batley lose then no big drama, if London win its some good publicity for the Southern Club on National TV.
Suppose the TV guys won't want a chance of a big score but lets be honest it could happen in any of the games.

| if they want the two most likely closely contested games then they should show
Leigh vs Fax and Batley vs Broncoquins
but they wont.
A massive incentive for both Fax and Leigh. 1 step too far for Fev i think.

| I have been watching the Championship, and Leigh struggle against Halifax. That won't necessarily be as competitive as it probably should be, given that they are in the same league.
There aren't many attractive draws this round, which is unfortunate. Fev -v- Batley or Fax would have been good and would have given one of them a chance to get through to the quarters, which would have been great. Although it would be absolutely bloody fabulous to see Wigan knocked out of the cup by Featherstone, it just aint going to happen. Whichever of the championship teams are left in the bag after this round will just be crucified by the Superleague team they meet, unless it is Saints of course, who like to give the game away in the final ten minutes.

| Having seen Batley 3 times this year I don't think they're as good a side as they have been in the last couple of seasons.
Mount Pleasant and that slope is the stuff of legend though, and with John Kear in charge they could just pull it off.

Yep - I'll be there with the kids; love it at Batley.
Went to watch them play Catalans in the CC the other year; Feriol was bulldozing through the Batley players and an old lad behind me shouted, "Bog off Feriol, yer dirty merde!" Made me chuckle.

I know you shouldn't read in to friendlies etc etc, but we beat a full strength Halifax side 44-14 in January. We play each other on Thursday (live on Premier Sports) which should be an absolute cracker, really can't call it either way. Our recent performances seem to suggest we've recovered from our early season jitters against Batley and Fev.

| Fax Vs Leigh tie of the round, belter at The Shay, surely on TV?
Wigan will knock 50 past Fev, but genuinely looking forward to seeing the class they bring over. Another packed Post Office Road, showing again why Fev should be given a chance in Super League.

Won't be at The Shay Chris. Leigh are at home so will be at the LSV. Agree that it will probably be a very tight match though. Thursday night will be a big marker as to where both teams stand this year. I personally am confident Leigh will go through to the next round but I'm sure Fax fans feel just as confident as we do!

| Batley vs London looks the most interesting tie. Yes, London should win comfortably but, there is an outside chance of an upset and it gives the beeb chance to re run all the Eagles footage etc.
Good luck Batley !

A tad stretch of the truth there Matt. We had a hell of a lot of players missing that day and lost 2 players during the game. Id expect quite a few changes from the team that faced you that day to the one that faces you on Thursday. Should be a hell of a game this Thursday and next week.

| batley could turn london over if they turn up with the right state of mind like last year against the giants only to be robbered with a silly sending off by robert hicks. 80 minutes of rugby league anybody could win.. just ask hull fc or sheffield fans from previous finals and other clubs from other rounds remember hull kr turning over warrington in a packed craven park in 2006.
