Why are people getting upset? Max has done a great job and I see him as an HB for the future. These days the CCup is a second-string comp, it's the obvious game to see if Brough has recovered.

We still need Brough as we need Jowitt. Jowitt won't become an HB overnight, I expect and hope to see him in and out of that position through the season. Also, Max is now the only cover for FB at the moment.

If last season taught us anything its that you have to use your resources sparingly. Max has a huge utility value now, FB. HB and even wing, he's very much in the same boat as Hampshire.

It's a squad game these days rather than a first name on the teamsheet mentality. It's interesting to see that Fifita has also been thrown in when you could argue that he isn't needed for this game.

Max and Hampshire will get there, I don't think CC is an unfair man, he's a coach so he's cautious, which is what we pay him for.

Well that's a very fair summation of the present situation I think FC.
My thoughts on Jowitt are the same - he's worth a contract extension for his utility value alone - I think his expires at the end of this season (?)

I agree with rotating the forwards, especially when it's a short turnaround, but not with Full back & Half back combinations. Obviously CC's hand has been forced already losing Walker, Brough & Hampshire, now Jowitt too. I can't see how it helps with the other threequarters trying to get an understanding, when they are all different in what they bring. Obviously Brough and Miller again now, if Jowitt is fit though next week, and he doesn't recall him, then Chester will have just totally contradicted what he said, although tonight's game could be the last for a while anyway.....

Brough should retire and put everyone out of their misery.

The correlation between Broughs presence and a drop in performance continues. No doubt he will of done enough in CC mind to fight his way back into the team. Jowitt will have to contend with dual reg and another denied opportunity.

Brough was poor. He’s been a top player in his time but he’s gone now.
Miller was ok.
Lilley was the best half on the field to be fair to him. Bradford played very well and in all honesty we were very fortunate to win. We seem to have no idea in attack.
For me we need a change in the coaching department.

With Salford beating Wigan we're certainly going to have to perform far better than that display tonight. Bradford were far the better attacking side.

Any win is good against a John Kear coached side in the cup. Of course we can play better but a wins a win and credit to Bradford who played well.
