| Posting a link to an average 4 games in and trying to predict next years average is stupid, especially when you ignore other evidence pointing to the contrary.
You don't know anything about the British game, you're blatantly an overenthusiastic fan, but that enthusiasm clouds your common sense. You did spend the other day claiming Wigan would average 18,000 and they blatantly won't, you're wrong again here.
As for your mate Gijou, he was blatantly the bullied kid in school and really needs to get over it and start including some facts if he wants to try and get one over people living in the country in question.

| Wigan got 29,839 V Saints and 19,579 V Castleford 2 weeks later in 1993. Not two capacity crowds in a row but both higher than Saints this year.

| I don't think it's really that impressive considering its the last year at KR and its a low capacity plus you got the two rivals in a row.
We got more than that against Leeds at home with less away suppport.

The actual capacity of the new stadium is a precise 17984
This comprises 10087 seated 7757 standing and 140 wheelchair.
However the big difference is in the quality of facilities on offer.
The new stadium will have corporate entertainment facilities comparable with some premiership football clubs, never mind SL clubs.
The current Stadium just lacks these facilites. At best only a couple of hundred can be wined and dined.
In the new stadium it will be something like 2000.

We got just under 18,000 against Leeds with around 1,000 away support. Are you seriously trying to have a dig at Wigans attendances?
We are likely to get two sell-outs this year.

It's OK. There's nothing that interests RL fans more than attendances, and the only comments are heartfelt anguish if the crowds are lower than capacity or on a downward trend. The posters fret and worry. They can't eat, they can't sleep, and are at their wits' end as to what they can do, so they post on here. On the Bradford forum, we've so many genuinely concerned and worried about our attendances that, if they would just all attend one game, we'd break our crowd record.

I don't normally attack fans about attendances, but I am just disapointed for Bradford. In the year 2000 you filled the away end at our place. In 2008 you couldn't even fill the away end at Widnes. It's a real shame for RL if Bradford continue to decline.

| I don't understand why clubs build such small stadiums. It looks like it's going to hold Warrington back if their crowds continue to increase, and 18k will be too small for St Helens. Something around 22k would be much more sensible, it would not be too big but would allow scope for bigger crowds and also the hosting of internationals etc.

I would of liked to see the RFL team up with Saints and use that as the national stadium with room for expansion.

| When the Wire stadium was announced it was meant to be around 14.5k, at the time we were averaging about 6k and so was plenty big enough. Secondly the capacity was reduced after the first game but 14.5k would be alright, just.

| It's good to have two sell-outs in a row, albeit though they are against Warrington and Wigan we probably wouldn't have got that 10 years ago. The average attendances this year are good and although it probably will inevitably decrease from now until the end of the season, the crowds might hold up a bit towards the end with it being the last year at KR. We'll probably still average around 11k plus.
I'm happy with the capacity of the new stadium, I'm not too sure what sort of increase we'll get. I'd be pleasantly surprised if we find it too be too small for most games. Although we won't be able to get 20k plus for Wigan etc which we might have been able to do with a bigger ground I think the stadium will be a good size for the club for an avergae SL game. Would rather be in a two-thirds or three-quarters full ground than having a half full one for most games.

can you imagine the Bulls/Cas/Wakey fans if they got sent warning letter about their grounds then the RFL built a stadium with Saints - this site would combust.

| Warrington's stadium size was too small. 20,000 would have been better. It'll be interesting to see if they try to expand it if their decent spell continues.

If you look at the architects design for the new stadium it would be possible to cantilever out the top stands to provide extra capacity maybe to 28000. Maybe the RFL who keep on harping on about new stadiums should put money were there mouth is and make the stadium into a national one. Instead of spending all this revenue in hiring football stadia.
