But having Leigh in Super League won't make Super League more interesting and won't help the RFL improve its feeble and deficient revenue stream any time soon. In fact it will more likely hinder the situation. London, Bradford and Toulouse need to be in Super League, not pathetically obscure Leigh, if rugby league is to improve its standing with sponsors, the media, and the general public in both England and France.

Oh, I forgot to mention that Leigh doesn't even have a train station. That will be terribly inconvenient for away fans, most of whom won't bother to show up at Leigh Sports Vilage, no matter how many pies and pasties they have on offer at the food outlets. I have enjoyed the last year in the Championship more than any other year prior, partly due to on field success but mainly to the "feel good" around the town.

We play attractive rugby, which I like, we look like a team, which I like, we act like a professional club which I like.

London, Toulouse, Bradford & Leigh are where they are on merit.

Therefore Leigh will get paltry crowds from Yorkshire clubs, and suffer financially as a result. Most likely they will not be able to compete on the player market for that and other reasons. As a result Leigh will be back down into the Championship faster than you can say "Fui Fui Moi Moi."

Don't get the negativity regarding this signing. Leigh aren't an SL team trying to win the leaguw. They are a championship side a building to get promotion. Leigh will be playing part time championship players, and even at 35, FuiFui will be just too big and strong for them.

Is he is a household name and can get the people of Leigh excited and he can be marketed to increase their crowds.

Having Leigh in super league will be far more beneficial than having Toulouse. The frog teams do not contribute anything to the game over here. It would be much better if the frogs tried to expand the game over there rather than drag super league down. If for some strange reason Toulouse where to be accepted into super league it would be made up of ageing aussie players and below average frogs.

I got bored with seasons of friendlies so just went to the cup/play off matches, and last year managed those plus all home games not played on sundays , due to work

All changed this coming year so hoping to make more of the more interesting games including our usual tonking of the Vikings

I cannot understand the negativity associated with this signing. It's a great coup for Leigh - the off-field benefits alone are imense and his signing will pay for itself in increased gate receipts. It's a win-win for Leigh and good luck to them I say.

Sad to see championship clubs going back to the days of boom or bust big money overseas players, in a desperate bid for promotion.
