I'm not. Yes winning helps but your club make all the right noises about building that base to 10k and I really thought you'd get closer this year....
If they can push for the top 6 next year then I can see them getting close.

| Poor old William. he spends countless hours on his calculator, to produce his splendid lists and tables of statistics, he even adds a touch of personality with stuff like "Tragic", and for what? Won't ANY of you look at them? Shame on you. William, your talents are wasted on this stony ground.

You'd know all about stony ground FA. You've spent the last 3 years sowing your own unique brand off bollox in defence of the indefensible. See you in the 2nd tier next year

Quote ="Angry Anteater"Quote ="William Eve"Difficult to judge whether it was a good crowd at Bradford or not.
Better than last season's attendance against Cas... 8,214 compared to 7,724... but they didn't play Cas at home in Round 1 last season... they played Wakey at home in Round 1 last season and the attendance was 10,263.
That 10,263 attendance turned out to be Bradford's 2nd highest home attendance of 2013 (only the attendance against Leeds was higher... 12,016). If today's 8,214 attendance turns out to be their 2nd highest home attendance in 2014, they are in even bigger trouble than they already are... if that's possible.'"
What a contrived, if-my-aunty-had-balls load of piffle.
Why would our crowd v. Cas today be expected to be our 2nd highest home attendance?
Did you get Cas and Wakey mixed up in your urge to be negative? If we got 10263 for Wakey last time then it obviously won't drop by 2K this season.'"

Hull KR report a 4% rise in their attendances this season.
Or a rise of 17% instead depending on which way they spin it
www.superleague.co.uk/article/31 ... ttendances?
According to the figures reported in the link above... [i" Sunday’s match against Catalan Dragons was the club’s last on home soil in 2014 and took the total number of supporters passing through the turnstiles through the 106,000 barrier'. Increasing last year’s average crowd from 7,319 to 7,572 – a season on season increase of around four per cent – it is testament to the passion of Robins fans during an inconsistent year for the team"[/i.
Those figures are all utter bollox.
[i"With a big reduction in the number of complimentary tickets issued in 2014, we have actually seen the numbers of paying fans increase by 17 per cent at home matches this season so we’re delighted to be bucking the trend for sport in general"[/i
If true, Hull KR must have given away at least 15,000 complimentary tickets last season.

| The end of cheap tickets in Bradford and Wakefield no doubt probably contributed to that fall after 2012. Bradford's drop contributed on average 246 week on week. I suspect you'd see a more stagnant set of figures if those inflated figures were dropped down to a more natural level of say 8.5k.
Worry is that some big clubs seem to be in a downhill trend.
Hull 13,000 to 11,000 over past 5 years
Wigan 15k to 14k
Wire 10k to 9k

| I'm disappointed that William has not spotted the amazing coincidence that seems to have occurred regarding the attendances for Salford's last two home games.

| The difference between the crowd for the wigan/warrington game this year and last year says it all about Thursday nights. Rightly or wrongly people are staying away, good for sky not so for us. Would of been good for the RFL to try and take a stand on this when negotiating the last tv deal.

I did spot the amazing coincidence but I'm tired of making reference to the bull attendance figures of clubs like Salford and Catalan.
[url=http://retro.rlfans.com/viewtopic.php?p=17911321#p17911321Salford's home attendance figures (announced officially or otherwise) are not to be trusted and neither are Catalans home attendances. They are often accompanied by the smell of bull.[/url

Of those teams who have competed all of those 6 years, the team with the smallest margin between their best year and worst year is......Leeds.
The team seemingly responsible for showing everyone the regular season doesn't matter and whose fans should be the ones most expected to just turn up at playoff time.
Oh well

Divide 102,022 by 13 = 7,848 average

Good
So what do Hull KR have to say about those attendances above as published on their very own website?
[i"Sunday’s match against Catalan Dragons was the club’s last on home soil in 2014"[/i
Correct so far... well done Hull KR.
[i"and took the total number of supporters passing through the turnstiles through the 106,000 barrier"[/i
Regular season figure was 102,022 as confirmed by their very own official website. Oh, I see... they want to include the attendance of 4,911 against Warrington in the Challenge Cup? Ok... that takes the total attendance to 106,933 so yes... the number of supporters (if you decide to include the CC fixture) has passed through the 106,000 barrier.
But how many passed through the turnstiles last year? Hmmmm.....
[i"Increasing last year’s average crowd from 7,319 to 7,572"[/i
102,022 + 4,911 = 106,933
Divide 106,933 by 14 = 7,638 average
Can't even work out an accurate average from the figures published on their own website.
What about last season?
If they included CC fixtures last year, didn't the total number of supporters passing through the turnstiles in 2013 also pass through the 106,000 barrier? Let's take a look shall we?
2013 Regular Season attendance at Hull KR = 97,430
2013 Challenge Cup attendances at Hull KR = 8,734
Total number of supporters passing through turnstiles at Hull KR in 2013 = 106,164

| The Wigan away attendance there will have been massively affected by Sky, last year they went to Huddersfield on a Saturday, this year was a Thursday. Thursday games are shocking for away attendances.

Out of interest, how can they acutally work that figure out when both sets of fans were in the same stand and most of the Salford fans I went with paid on the gate?
Edit - and indeed, the year before most I know bought through Hudds to get a £10 ticket offer.

exactly! that is the difference, had it been on a sunday those missing 900+ wouldn't have been missing.
we have had some shocking turnouts on thursdays this year.
as for the salford figures, those are estimated based on ticket sales and walk ups. this year salford sold just over 200 pre sold tickets and the club estimate that another 50 paid on the gate and how many seats they took up ( most of you were sat together in the one area), as for last year, then that is an estimation too, 48 pre sold tickets plus extra's on the day/groupon vouchers. obviously they aren't exact figures, just as with london and catalan, it's just guesswork
by my reckoning there was probably a good 20 or so catalan fans and i saw only 5/6 london fans.

Add them all up = 102,022
Divide 102,022 by 13 = 7,848 average
Are you paying attention Moschops81?
Good
So what do Hull KR have to say about those attendances above as published on their very own website?
Total number of supporters passing through turnstiles at Hull KR in 2013 = 106,164
[i"With a big reduction in the number of complimentary tickets issued in 2014, we have actually seen the numbers of paying fans increase by 17 per cent!"[/i
Bwahahahahahahaha
