Fox deserved to be omitted with glaring errors against lowly Wales that can't be questioned. The OP was simply asking what Tom did to deserve being dropped, something maybe you could answer for us.

It's not a case of him "deserving" anything.

He's simply not up to this standard of RL as an athlete.

Briscoe seemed like he was glued to the touchline in the first half seemed to be a bit of a rabbit in the headlights. Our right handside defense was crap because of Briscoe's poor decsion making, Smith and McGuire's soft tackling and the fact JP had gone walk about (he's nowhere near atheletic enough to play in the back row any more)

He looked no worse than the other muppets in the back line, but that's hardly praise! Doesn't look big or strong enough or to have the footwork to make it at this level yet.

Second half, the kiwi game last week, just two this last few days.

I still believe that Raynor is the best British winger there is, however due to erm, other commitments, he probably won't be playing for Hull next year, let alone England.

Indeed... here's hoping he has a belting season in Super League as a centre and maybe if Kallum Watkins and Michael Lawrence kick on we could have some quality young centres to take down under for the next 4 Nations

Certainly hope so. The bad thing for Tom is that he hasnt got the height as most centres. So he probably is going to be a target for the high kicks. Hopefully some more young backs shine in Super League next year.

Quite. We never really had any structure in attack but relied on offloads a hell of a lot. Outside backs didnt receive any quality ball although Eastmond tried to change that 2nd half.

I really don't think Briscoe did a lot wrong. The problems on that side defensively were not down to Briscoe, nor do I think they were down to 1 player specifically.

Briscoe > Smith > McGuire > Peacock just didn't work as a combination defensively, I don't think Peacock is mobile enough these days to cover 2nd row and McGuire and Smith were always going to struggle as a pairing defensively without cover from the 2nd row.

Hall > Shenton > Tomkins > Ellis was always going to be a much much better defensive line, evidenced by a lot of frustration from Justin Hodges and Jarryd Hayne on the day.

Sadly I think Briscoe will however cop the flack and get dropped.

Tom Briscoe got made to look like a scapegoat by Tony Smith which was totally unfair imo.

I didn't really notice the lad do anything wrong and much more experienced players would have had a similar first half playing outside Laurel and Hardy.
