Problem is (and perhaps it is too soon) that people can't see the difference between the Club as in the business it clearly is and the club as in the fans and the heritage. They are completely different entities that unfortunately have to co-exist.

So to see the management of the Bulls struggling is an absolute pleasure - these second raters have run rough shod over the spirit of the game for far to long. Sadly it appears it will be RBS who finally brings them to heal rather than the RFL or the Shareholders.

The above have no right to the support of anyone and should cease to be involved in RL as soon as is possible. I am really enjoying seeing these people squirm. This unfortunately is slightly offset by the nauseating blubberfest from people like Jamie Peacock whom I have little respect for. Oh and the false camaraderie displayed by some on these forums also leaves me cold.

Get off the VT's and onto the club forums you will see I'm far from alone.

As for the clubs fans, I wish them the best so long as they get no special favours. Some are OK some as demonstrated on this thread have an unwarranted sense of self worth.

I'm enjoying the suffering of those who deserve it, I'm moderately concerned for those who don't.

When my basket case club went down it got 2 mins on Look North, McDermott and Peacock barely lifted there gaze from that weeks Beano and everyone on the VT (a forum despised by most fans) gave us a big slice of "it's your own fault".

Far cry from the love fest many Bulls fans seem to be expecting and indeed getting.

I'm not bitter, like my club I've moved on - well maybe a tad bitter - but please forgive if I don't actually give a hoot about the plight of the Bulls. Life has taught me that the RL family has little time for losers just ask Oldham fans - you'd better get used to it.

Come Manchester weekend and your cold shouldered by the supporters of the new big 4 in the real ale bar do not fear - the fans from the cellar dweller clubs will make room for you on the corner table. Probably be Salford fans, they look like they are heading the other way

Anyway how much have the mighty Bulls raised today? I thought there was going to be a pledge-o-meter on their website.

I wish people would stop using this nauseating cliché “rugby league family”. It may have been appropriate pre SL days but them days are gone. The different approach to what are supposed to be equal member clubs is so obvious that a more appropriate saying would be The Clique of Senior clubs!

As Vasty says, last year all we had was “serves you right” on here. I find it hard to have sympathy.

I'm amazed at the volume of posts from people who are "not interested" in the fate of the Bulls. If you're truly not interested keep away.

Your post was just plain wrong. This is a legitimate debate, when you consider that the RFL purchased Odsal to secure it's 700k loan to the Bulls - a loan I wasn't aware it had ever made. A similar loan request was refused to Wakefield last year despite continued funding for the crusaders right up to the final nail.

Even if people like me have some of it wrong the shear mishandling of the situation by the RFL forces people to draw there own conclusions. This combined with the abject management failure at a 'A' grade poster boy club and there apparent belief that the rest of the game should bail them out whilst sacrificing nothing themselves simply fuels the resentment that the fans of many of the "lesser" clubs feel.

This one will rumble on and rightly so.

Life's OK at the moment, thanks. Of course nobody knows what the future may hold and I'm very aware of our past, which is why I have sympathy for the Bradford fans. I recall clearly how it felt when it looked as if we were about to vanish, something which a few Wakey fans appear to have problems doing.

We didn't get a whole lot of sympathy back then either, and still get regular sarky comments from the ill-informed and ignorant. What that [ihasn't[/i done is make me so sad and bitter that I revel in another club suffering similar issues.

Your mileage obviously varies.

Save the heartland clubs! (and complain bitterly when people try in precisely the manner a hypocritical kn0bhead who claims to oppose hypocrisy would).
