No they couldn't. Currently the British infrastructure is their biggest obstacle. They do not have the systems that makes the NRL work.

Despite only being in the country a fortnight, Campese played the full 80 minutes in the Robins victory over Hull and led us around the park superbly. Bigger challenges to come but as he settles in I think he will be massive for us. I don't think his shirt will need washing too many times this year though!

Kelly and Campese have the makings of being one the top halves combinations in Super League.

Only a first hit out but their styles seem to compliment each other very well. The trick is going to be keeping them on the pitch I think!

So what are these 'systems' you're referring to? And why are you sure Superleague clubs don't have them?

If you'd have made the same comparison between yourselves and Castleford prior to a ball being kicked last season you would have made a case that you were better in every position than them, yet the season never works out like that.

For what its worth I'd take Shaul and maybe Lineham out of your back line the rest of them including the half backs I'd rather go with what we've got. Having seen Sio and a limitted amount of Mantelato I'd maybe even leave Lineham.

Neither team will trouble the top 4 and it will be a toss up between which one of us finishes the higher, I'll go for us in 7th Hull in 8th

Ironically the biggest advantage the NRL has over SL in terms of infrastructure is a feeder league rather than a 2nd division.

Though I'm willing to bet LeagueFan doesn't agree with that.

On the Hull forum I've predicted it the other way around.

Based on yesterday's evidence I may have done Sio a disservice, but my opinion on all the other backs is the same. Kelly did some good things but he's got to do it consistently in games that matter.

I couldn't have put this any better myself. Campese was the biggest influence on the field in that second half especially. He will be a massive player and his fitness will dictate where the Robins finish in Super League. And yes, he could play in a dinner suit.

I think our vegetable friend is about right; I don't see either Hull threatening the top of the league. FC in particular have under-performed in the last couple of years. Will this season be any different?

I think Kelly might go better in SL than Campese, because his running game would suit the (generally) more attacking style of SL clubs compared to the NRL. And I think the same applies to Luke Walsh.

If the Hull KR props can boss the centre field and Campese and Kelly stay fit, then Hull KR are certainties for top 8 and will trouble some top 4 clubs.

Yet again Jean, Sunday will be a good test for KR against us.

Friendlies generally tell us very little about the season ahead. I hope that both Rovers and KR improve dramatically over 2014, as we need this season under the new structure to be really competitive.

Both teams will be at full strength though and will be trying out their new ideas, should be a cracking game for £13!

If it's a bad tear and he's out for any more than a couple of games its a big blow. Not sure where your creativity is coming from without him. Campese is an organiser, not much spark without Kelly.

8 is Adam Walker, 14 is Mitch Allgood.
