The reason for that is he has a horrific disease called motor neurone disease. I disease which has left his body ravaged, severely impacted on his quality of life and massively reduced his life expectancy

He has managed to overcome this and go on to achieve more than almost anyone else alive right now.

Considering that it does seem quite pathetic to reduce a great man to the worthless disease he suffers from and use him an example of failure considering the unmitigated success he has had in his life
