So after one round...
Hull KR v Leeds 11811 up from 11526 in 2014
Widnes v Wigan 9269 up from 6223
Saints v Cat 12008 up from 11321
Wire v Salford 11864 up from 10120
Hudds v Hull 7737 up from 6370
Cas v Wakey 10728 up from 9182
Great start to 2015, cheers to all those in London for the hard work.
'"
Four 10,000+ attendances and the top two highest average attendance clubs (Wigan and Leeds) played away from home.......yeah the sport is going to be semi-pro in a few years hahahahaha.
In fact had Hull and Wigan been the home teams you'd have had all 6 games with 5 figure crowds.

| Must have been pushing 4,000 Hull fans today at Hudds. Totally packed out the away end today.
Huddersfields (lack of fans) was pathetic.

Feka posted a pic of the away end on Twitter which looks impressive, but 4000 is probably pushing it.

| Feka Palaeeasina put a photo on Twitter with the Hull fans almost filling their end. I'd say 3,600 minimum there today. Outstanding turnout.

Great turnout from the FC fans today but the capacity of the stand was under 3000 with the sponsors drapes covering 2 of the 5 sections ,i would say about 2600 there, still a great effort

| I see we are picking out the average from this barrel of golden apples already.
As someone has said Hull FC / Leeds and Wigan yet to open their accounts at home.
Catalan too normally get decent crowds. So next week we will hopefully see this push on.
Average of 10500 this year, slightly down on last years average. But a great start to the season for the clubs, lots of revenue and something to aim for as it gets warmer.
Also no real blow out scores. I know being nilled is not great (especially when I have brough as my kicker in fantasy league) but it was a fairly tight game with only 3 tries in the whole game, which indicates Huddersfield heads did not drop in defence.

It's up on last year's opening round actually.
Thanks to London, who's fans must have travelled up north en masse this weekend.

I assume you mean the west stand?
If thats the case then the north stand will be sold out as well, that will leave Bradford fans to hopefully pack out the south stand.
If the east stand is opened as well then that would be an amazing achievement by the club

Opening round 2015 1.42% up on 2014, or...if you're a pedant, 3.4% down discounting the 3,000 freebies at Widnes and for the record, I seem to recall the 2014 opening round attendances being 12% up on 2013's......did you run out of kleenex then too?
No doubt Billy will soon be along with his more definitive comparisons over the seasons, but a solid start for the comp and some good marketing initiatives utilised by some of the clubs.

This would be presuming that those fixtures last year had no free tickets or offers too.
Considering William added a ***free ticket/discount ticket to most higher attendances last year it's fair to say we could also look at last years fixtures as similar.

Nah. Surely, his utter and complete demolition and disgrace for claiming the Club Wembley tier was empty for the England v New Zealand World Cup semi-final when in fact it was packed will mean even he will have the good grace to keep his head well and truly down for the forseeable future?

Widnes v Wigan - biggest crowd in 25 years wasn't it? Guess what, that had nothing to do with London being relegated.
Record crowd at Hull KR today. Guess what, that had nothing to do with London being relegated.
Biggest Cas/Wakefield crowd in years wasn't it? And guess what, it had nothing to do with London being relegated.
I'm pretty sure the other 3 games weren't affected by London being relegated either.

Fair point and as I said earlier, I applaud the schemes that we know were used by St's and Widnes, just as long as they are followed up with invitations to return again.
[url=http://retro.rlfans.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=564666Last years attendance thread[/url started off with a 12% increase.....that was adjusted to 10% by Billy's pedantry and ended 58 pages later with nobody being the clear winner in what was essentially a pointless ing comp.
Anyhow, Magic SB put all the attendances into a nice table, so I'll post that here so we can see how every club goes during the season
