| Not too excited at Dewsbury , asked for an early payment and are disappointed at being refused relegation
A sad indictment of our sport

Well it has to be really Chris , the Rams actually saying they are disappointed at not being relegated , the fiasco at Barrow , us struggling to find anybody interested enough to help , we haven't signed a single player or sorted the coach for next year yet
Our ' central funding ' is down , still no paying TV deal but the likelihood of still having to play midweek in our biggest matches , loads of players being released
Sponsorship getting harder to find as well apparently , I can actually see us becoming the next Doncaster if we aren't careful

| I'd imagine the plan is for four teams to push up to the Championship and Championship 1 to take in around four of the teams currently being considered by the RFL.
I can see Barrow, Crusaders/South Wales and two others being promoted to the Championship. From what I've heard Coventry Bears, Hemel Stags and Bristol Sonics all have an excellent chance of being awarded a place in Championship 1.

| Just to keep Starbug happy (he won't be )
Quote The RFL chief operating officer Ralph Rimmer outlined the plans at a media briefing in Brighouse, where he also announced a new television deal with play-per-view broadcaster Premier Sports, who will take over coverage of the Championships from Sky from next season.'"

Oooooooooo , the ' excitement '
So no relegation this year , possibly a blessing for Leigh , although it will make for a pretty boring season
Then 4 out of 7 to be announced as we go through next year , Woooooooo ' exciting '
A TV deal with still no money , but still on a thursday night fan killer , and possibly double headers , even better , what will that be ? , a 6 o clock start ?
New clubs to have ' assistance ' ? , interesting ?
An Anglo French cup in May ? , I'm sure the French fans will all be saving their holdays for that , so probably a mid season break for the Championship clubs not involved in that then , that will help cash flow
So basically we will have a FT pro league , a PT semi pro league and an amatuer league , all with massive gaps between them
Marvelous

| [url=http://therfl.co.uk/news/article/23810/premier-coverage-for-championships-inUp to 32 games from the Co-operative Championship, Championship One and Northern Rail Cup will be televised live by Premier Sports next season after a deal was agreed between the broadcaster and the RFL.[/url
And this from @garethwalker13 on twitter:
Brief outline of RFL Champs debrief: Confirmed move to two comps of 14/10 from 2013 with four new clubs in C1.
No relegation from Champs next year - four promoted clubs will be champions, two play-off finalists and next highest club.
There are 16 expressions of interests from new clubs with more information on current leaders to follow.
Premier Sports deal confirmed, 2yrs with third option, Thursday nights to remain, 32-34 matches.
No cash for clubs from tv deal, but cash back scheme from subscriptions and over £1m invested by Prem Sports in coverage.
Northern Rail Cup format to be reviewed from 2013 onwards.
RFL official Ralph Rimmer: "Championship rugby needs a shot of adrenaline and this is what we're trying to do".
"We can change the rugby league landscape in this country - that's how big this is" - RFL official Ralph Rimmer.
Also RFL will by the end of the week release details of Anglo-French comp between top four clubs in each country.
RFL also confirmed that promotion and relegation will continue between Champs and C1 from 2013 onwards.

Coventry must be strong favourites given they are the only team to have a decent stadium. Others teams such as the Medway Dragons + Chester have reasonable grounds as well.'"
Was told in Perpignan this year the Medway Dragons will be Championship 1 club soon and rightly so in my opinion.

| great news about premier sports and still been thusday nights and that 4 teams will go up and 4 new expansion teams will be coming into the league. as for teams coming up i would think hemel, bristol, coventry and chester ( a local derby for the nw crusaders) will be the new teams.
as for the anglo tournement this is fantastic news, im a big beliver in developing rugby league france which has huge potential and this could really work but i dont know wether theres 4 teams in france which would be good enough, personally i would of gone with the top 2 teams from both divisions first of then look to expand.

Are you not paying attention ? , no relegation in 2012 , but 4 promotions
So 2013 to be a 14 team Championship , and a couple of heartland teams left in with the new clubs , it could spell the end of them , their travel costs will take most of their gate income

| Premier Sports to take over the Championship broadcasting from Sky. Is the old news because I'm hearing it for the first time, and with SS showing SA and NZ domestic rugby union along with Super 15 rugby we seem to be getting elbowed out the door when it comes to getting league out to people in this country.

It will be interesting to see if they do get any once in Championship 1 , as it will be interesting to see if the Championship money drops again next season with more clubs to support ?

All Championship clubs will get 100k each (maybe more) off the RFL next season, and C1 travel costs will be subsidised.
