That's rights, pretty similar scenArio to that at Bradford, fans are fickle no matter what club.

We've been growing our fan base since so hopefully Bradford will kick on from this initiative, already looking a success.

It's funny how its mainly Leeds fans (Rivals) and Hudds fans (Jealous of our SL success and bigger crowds) that are knocking this scheme.

Credit to the fans of Sts, Wigan, Wire etc who all see this as what it is - a great scheme by the Bulls management to get bodies back through the gate and spending money.

As has been relayed many times already...the club has made it very clear there is no intention of returning to that structure anytime soon.

Good point, but I doubt they will immediately revert to full pricing. If they do get a decent average gate figure across this season, it may well pay them to repeat the offer for 2012.
There is a poster that I see in sales offices....it's a picture of a haystack with the comment:

"It takes hours to find a customer......and a second to lose them again"

This is true of RL fans as it is of any other form of customer. The Bulls have encouraged fans back in great numbers....regardless of their performance on the pitch, they will see a minimum increase on their average of 20% for the season. To date, they have had 11,500 extra fans for their 2 games........these fans will be a mix of old returness and new bies......unless the Bulls go all the way to OT, then these fans will again need to be convinced to come back. As the Bulls try to rebuild ON the pitch, they must continue to build OFF it too.
I treckon that if they do put the price up next year, it will only be to about 75 notes.....they are going to sell plenty of extra pints and pies this year, as well as replica shirts and the accountants will see the benefit of this as a long term strategy.

It would be great if that was the plan but I havn't heard anything about that. I can't see them getting the extra thousands in untill they have success though. With a ticket so cheap, anyone who is a fan and goes to games even if it just used to be the odd one now has a ticket..... Bradford need success to bring in all the fans who used to go to OT and all the fans who will probably attend the Leeds game.

It's certainly the plan to do this year on year.

How it plays out in subsequent years will be interesting to see. On the one hand you have terrible recent form and a culture of losing that, scarily quickly, permeated the club. On the other hand, there was a new coach, a mostly new team and the pledge scheme which all helped create a snowball effect of renewed interest in the club from the regular and occasional speccies alike.

I'm sure there's an upper limit not far higher of where we are now that won't be expanded without some success. Provided there's effort in the team and the backroom staff though I'm sure this year's figure can be beaten without trophies or final appearences.

I hadn't bought a season ticket since 1996. Not sure why I didn't get one in 1997, but barring cup final and WCC we then went unbeaten until the final two rounds of the competition. I have finally disabused myself from thinking my ticket buying habits were the reason for any success.

Interestingly the number of season ticket holders is still rising, 10,920 being the current total on the website. This has only recently been updated and since pledge tickets were done some time back, it suggests that a few hundred, perhaps between 500 - 600 have been sold at full price rather than the pledge price.

Interesting. That's a quarter / fifth of some of the figures we've had in the past.
