That MEN column is quite bizarre - Its like the ramblings of a drunken megalomaniac.

Personally, I'm not quite sure what to make of it all.... For the Salford club and its fans, you have to hope that Koukash can back up his bold words and his assertions that things are just doing fine.

However, all this fall out with players claiming unpaid wages and other players looking for a way out, does seem to suggest that there is something bubbling away that could explode very soon.

Whatever happens, I just wish Koukash would do what he should have done a long time ago and appoint himself a decent club spokesman, who can protect him from his over enthusiastic ego.

I'm no psychologist but in the MEN column i'm sure the fact he uses the words I/me over 25 times says something about his personality.

Saying that, if he intends to sue everyone who has said a bad word about Salford, I don't think he could anything further to alienate him and Salford from the rest of the sport. Wouldn't imagine the RFL and the other clubs being happy about this as well. All in all, I reckon it could have the potential to be one of the biggest backfires in history. Only if it's true of course. The OP may be stirring it

Well Marwan has certainly got me intrigued as to what will be said on Tuesday, but would he really call a press conference, invite supporters to come along to watch and even try to live stream it, if all he was doing was starting legal proceedings against someone?

A long time Salford supporting work colleague of mine has started doing just that- he says he's fed up with the circus that the club has turned into.

Salford fans have thick skins: a short survey of our history will show so many downs and twists that make us dizzy. For example, the two priods we were dominant (and I think we were very good but not dominant in the '70's) were ended by actions by one Kaiser and later by one A Hitler.

We are watching and wondering. It is certainly an unusual way of relaxing being a Salford fan.

Never worked for me! As far as the 'good' Doctor suing the media, I'd imagine that the MEN articles at least would be cleared by their legal people before publication. I think that he's trying to use the threat of legal action to stop any criticism of his running of the club in the media (doesn't seem to be working, does it?).

To be fair you would say that about any article ever printed by anyone yet papers are sued with success and regularity

By rights i should have been a swinton supporter anyway, given my proximity.

Yes, but the big national red-tops include the cost of legal action into their pricing models and even the big pay-outs are said to have no effect on their bottom lines, which I wouldn't think applies to the MEN!

Early news from the press conference is that Tim Sheens is the new Director Of Rugby as of next week & players have always been paid on time and in full since he took over.

MK said that they've accepted Locke's resignation but are pursuing him for damages and he/they deny all claims from Puletua and now pursuing him with his legal team over the claims in the press. Interesting they said Locke actually OWED the club a five figure sum but that has been paid too and SRD don't owe KL a penny.
MK also says the Council owe the club £800k and SRD are negotiating with stadium owners over fees and lack of money from food/beer etc.

Also said Harris job was safe.

So the overriding message to take away from all this, Marwan is right, everyone else is wrong. He hasn't done a thing wrong in his conduct, everyone else has. Oh and lots of swearing, lots and lots of swearing. A little unprofessional, but what's one more black mark on your record eh Marwan?
