All well and good but seeing as the main finance for the game is from eyes on the box this tells what?

I guess it tells us that some clubs have forgotten how to sell themselves in there towns or cities, or they've stopped manipulating attendance figures upwards, or that fans have got board with there clubs having nothing whatsoever to play for over the last 3 or 4 seasons in and out of SL

The TV money is important, vital even. But so are people through the gate, they drive (or help at least) all the other income streams for clubs be it merchandise, hospitality, sponsorship, membership schemes etc on top of pure match day revenue like tickets and food/drink sales.

Well folks, it's the off-season now as far as I'm concerned so I'm outta here for the summer break. I'll be back late August when I'll pick up where I left off.

In the meantime, if anyone wishes to compile the SL attendances during my absence, go for it. Even if you only want to do it when the numbers look positive and have a nice feel to them
