Back to the topic. You can understand the RFL's frustration. Whilst getting a new stadium is never going to be an easy or quick thing clubs will have had 4 years to have at least turned the soil by the time the next round starts. Understandable that if no progress has been made in those 4 years that the RFL would question if it will ever happen.

Of course you could argue should the RFL care if Cas get a new stadium? If they are keeping pace with SL attendances whilst playing at the Jungle, are financially solvent and are attracting decent players does it matter if they have a new ground?

Personally I'd be issuing warnings to those clubs who are getting crowds of less than 5,000 as they are the ones in danger of damaging SL.

i was a fan of salford getting in and widnes being out.

as its turned out i was wrong.

i eagerly look forward to widnes getting in as they will add more to SL than many current SL clubs.

i wasnt a fan of widnes getting in mainly cause of financial issues which are now sorted.

i was a fan of salford on the assumption the ground would be done. i now believe it wont be finished any time soon.

the worst thing was a week or 2 after the franchise decision the company owning the stadium was put into liquidation.

salford fans said it was minor and since then its been one excuse after another.

next time round unless the ground, i wouldnt put salford in.
