i dont know how they dont understand spud!!! it would be the exact same players that are in the current england team but in a different jersey. there are no welsh, scottish and irish players good enough to make the gb team. also, if we did have a gb team in the 4 nations, if there was a welsh player good enough to make it he then would of missed out on playing for wales in the euro cup. what would happen next year, would gb play wales?

and for the record the only game in the 2009 4 nations in which england where reffed by a english ref was the game against australia....the french game was reffed by a kiwi,the kiwi game reffed by a frenchmen and the final reffed by a kiwi..

There is no doubt we should be Great Britain not England. Mainly because

this is our sport's tradition - we've been known as Great Britain rather than England from the 1946 Invincibles tour at least
the driving factor for changing to England was for the RFL to get money from Sport England - a body that will be cut by Government cuts
the planned move (that I agree with) to revert to 3 Nations from 4 Nations will mean no young player will ever choose to play for Scotland, Ireland or Wales again (we're seeing this already with the Evans brothers playing for England Academy)

I am not a patriotic person, but very proud of my sport and Test football and regard Great Britain as the best format to represent our sport against our Antipodean cousins. Lets build a meaningful mid-season tournament for the individual countries and France (rather than a meaningless game against NRL Rejects XIII) and we might start to at least arrest the decline!
