After four successive seasons when we would have had any number of contenders for inclusion in a thread like this, it's now difficult to pick out anyone based on 2012 so far.

If I had to pick one, then like spooky, it would be Tom Briscoe. He's not playing particularly badly but he just doesn't seem to be quite firing on all cylinders at the moment for whatever reason.
After being our main/only strike threat during the Agar years, he is now being eclipsed by Jordan Turner and Will Sharp (of all people) both of whom look transformed under Peter Gentle. So relatively speaking Briscoe appears to be a little off the pace compared to the high standards he has set himself in his career so far.

At Wigan I would say our biggest under-performer is probably Amos Roberts. He was by his own admission poor in his first season but his form in early 2010 showed us what he is capable of and before his bad leg injury v Wakefield he was looking a contender for MOS that year. Complications and successive operations on his knee have kept him out of action for the best part of two years but he has now featured in four games for the under 20s and his form thus far on his return has not earned him a squad place for a home game against a club two divisions lower. I hope he can go on to regain something like his form of early 2010 but at this point in time IMO he is performing below the level he is capable of.

Tim Smith for me at Wakefield, or Richard Agar...

Josh perry a few weeks back was annoying the out of me. But hopefully he will kick on now saints are not the worst team in the league.

There are a few at HKR but the main one for me is Dobson, not sure if he's carrying an injury or it's just because we're missing Greeny, but he just isnt firing on all cylinders at the minute.

And what would that have done? We all knew he was rubbish at Hull and nobody wanted him before he came to Wakey, we are now stuck with him on a 3 year contract and some would rather back him than slate him.

Even so Wakey are still underachieving under Agar despite coaching deficiencies. Getting nilled by London is dreadful.

What about over performers, I could mention a few!

We are stuck with him for now so not supporting him helps no one does it. We will for the most part back Agar because he is the man in the hot seat.

Things aint that bad for Bradford on the pitch. Joint 6th, comfortably in the top 8 right now, next round of the cup, some exciting young players despite having a big injury list. And I've no doubt that things off the field will get sorted for them.
