Wow, I truly am in exalted company. *ss*
Self-employed me Jeanie-Weanie and extremely happy about that.
So which stand do you frequent at Le Stade Gilbert-Brutus then? I'd love to but you a pint sometime and have you impart some of your Rugby League "wisdom"....

Well, nobody can accuse you of underselling yourself, can they.
As for Salford, having been tipped to struggle this season and having traded one of their best players for "fatty" Lolohia, they are going great guns.
As for making the GF, probably not but, they have just beaten the side currently ranked 2nd in the comp and good luck to them.

On top of that they picked Matty Smith. A poor Dec Patton straight from a 6 day bender would still have been better.

Sorry, I should have put that in the original post
As a Salford fan, you must be buzzing with how well your season is going and it's great to see a "new" face in the top 4

At a professionally run club 'not returning to training' does not equal 'on the pi$$'. It is possible just to rest up, walk the dog, go to the pictures, read a book etc etc.

True, but you would have thought that coming in for treatment/massage/cryotherapy would be preferable given the (ridiculously) short turn around?

| Childish spats aside - Salford are great to watch when they tidy up their game; some of their second half tries were outstanding RL - accurate, silky skills and done at tremendous speed. Ian Watson deserves great credit for what he's achieved with them this year, in difficult circumstances.

I'm pretty sure I read on the Wire forum their own fans claiming the team were still "celebrating" on their open top bus parade on Monday(?). If that's the case then they definitely wouldn't have been fit to train Tuesday.
Bit worrying tbh. If Wire win the GF does that mean we'll have to start next season in April to give them sufficient time to celebrate their first championship in 63 years?

| I watched the game last night and whilst it's always good to see Dire lose, it has to be said their fans are easily the worst in the country.
They've just had one of their best ever days and instead of heaping praise on their players and coach for their efforts on Saturday, they were busying singing endless songs about St Helens and their players all through the game. Bizarre.
Some might say it's predictable smalltime behaviour from fans of a club who haven't been Champions since 1955 and have never won a World Club Challenge.
As for game, Salford 'big crowds' Red Devils wasn't even that great, shame they didn't nil Wire though.

The only team who outplayed us at the Saints ground was Salford Reds, looked a very dangerous side right across the park. Watson rightly was dissapointed to lose and just wants more performance consistency.
He might struggle next season though with Hastings and Jones following Lui elsewhere.

When Catalans season finishes in two weeks are you going to be as silent as you usually are when they get shown up? I suppose it matters not, we'll just be getting another version of you when you log into another account.
The mods seriously need to get a grip and ban this absolute nutsack. Well and truly dont know what they're doing allowing this. You want relative peace? Stop allowing this twonk to keep berating people.

I'll agree Salford are normally good to watch, but last night 3 of their 'outstanding' tries came directly from warrington errors.(2 dropped kicks and 1 kick interception)

I'm not sure why people get so wound up. He's an obvious troll but can be quite amusing at times. My most extreme response is an occasional giggle. He's not going to stop while people continue to bite.

Indeed, it's been a good season, enjoy the rest of it. Not having the threat of relegation & the faint hope that this might just be your year does wonders for the soul.
I suppose after so many seasons of mediocrity finishing in the play-off places gives you that extra buzz, unlike St's for instance, if they failed to make the play-offs their fans would go into meltdown.

I am not the kind of person who would suppress the views of people whom I disagree with, just because I disagree with them. You are wrong to suggest that.

| I have removed posts, and stuff it, i’m going to lock it - nobody is discussing the match now.
Some of you, please remember that whether somebody is being annoying is a subjective judgement and not against the AUP.
Please, others of you, remember that whether you’re posting deliberately to annoy is also a subjective judgement and is against the AUP, and personally i’m an advocate of ‘common sense’ and pragmatic interpretation of the rules.
