I thought this thread was about World Cup crowds. The gate at Salford was poor. It doesn't look like they did anything to promote the game and as a result got a crowd that was lower than any of the games hosted by Championship sides (and a city where we don't have any pro RL).
Last night was a huge effort by Leeds. I was there and despite the fact that it was no-contest the atmosphere was fantastic. Looking forwarded to my trip to Hull and another big crowd today.

Absolutely agree. Would have been even better with a more even contest, but was still great.

You won far more games than Leigh did !!!

Kiwis are an excellent team. Englands defence needs to be spot on, but it is encouraging that the Kumuls found a few gaps !

It was a great night, my dad does not go to many games nowadays but was singing along to Papua New Guinea

Way things are going we should break 400k net attendance for the entire tournament which i think most people would have been delighted with before the tournament.

2nd highest RL crowd ever at the KC today (after GB-Australia in 2005) There also seemed to be a lot of students there (I make that assumption based on their age and lack of Northern accents) so you hope the games attracted some new fans along the way.

think they should get a new TV ad made for it, this time with action shots of the tournament. We need to really push this.

No idea but they wasn't a big screen put up today. They used the normal screen which is in all the time to show the game.

I think a lot of free tickets were given out I know my daughters primary school were given 50 free tickets and there seemed a lot of kids there but its always better to have full grounds then not

Oh fair enough,thought that could have been a reason for being a few hundred short.

Another great attendance. Which should make up for a somewhat lesser crowd expected tonight.
