Is two wins 'comfortable' now a days? Leigh had a great season for them, but can they do better? Where they ever a serious challenger? I don't think so but would say Barrow were at the end yes.

Injuries aren't an excuse BUT having 17 unavailable for one game is not the norm and our injuries last year where way above normal (Barrow kept mentioning there's including when played us and we had more out etc), we don't use it as an excuse but it can't be overlooked when looking at how good a side we did / will have out IMO.

We had a similar amount of injured players back in 2005 , I dont remember much ' tea and sympathy ' from anybody at the time , all we heard was " you're Sh1 t " , we played the whole second half of last season with two injured half backs , which might to some suggest why we didn't perform as well as the 1 st half of the season

RL , a tough game , tough

Lets remember that Widnes will probably have their invite to join SL before the Championship fixtures start, so what will be the point of their season. You will sign virtually a new team for SL, so will the players you have for this season think that it isn't worth putting their body on the line as they know they won't be retained for 2012. Should be interesting.

you could have played all your sl standard yoof,all your loan and dc players at the same time and you'd have still been rubbish.

at least we only had half a season of moaning about how bad we were,you lot were whinging from day one right to the end.

Toulouse aren't the side they were last season.

I think York will find the huge step up in class too much i'm afraid. And much as I think Jonny Presley is a genuine top bloke and a talented offensive stand-off, he is a complete an utter liability in defence and will be repeatedly targeted like he was for us last season. Unfortunately he tackles way too high for a such a little guy and gets repeatedly run over by the bigger and stronger Championship centres and 2nd rowers.

Sheffield mades two good signings in Quentin Laulu-Togagae and Kyle wood on dual contract with the Giants. Also brought in some youngsters from Hull FC's under 20's. Hopefully we can kick on this season with our performances and build up the fanbase and Bramall Lane. We was only 80 minutes away from the GF last year! Who knows..SL 2015...

I think Stealth Comic has it about right - Toulouse, Hunslet & York in the bottom three. Sheffield, Batley & Dewsbury going for the 6th play-off spot.

With Toulouse, I make it they have lost Nathan Wynn & Martin Mitchell, two of their more influential players, also Matthieu Griffi, Worrall, Duport and Mendes-Varela. They've signed Craig Cook from Sheffield, got Damien Couturier back from union & two reserve grade Australians in Josh Lewis & Darren Nicholls. I suppose playing some pre-season games and entering the NRC may help with the consistency. They did win away at Featherstone after all - problem was a big lack of consistency.

AFAIK, Wynn and Griffi have signed with Lezignan to make some extra money during the off-season and will be returning to TO next year.
