It was my understanding that a lot of the trouble surrounding Leigh was retaliations to opposition temper flares.

This is quite understandable, teams are going to lose the plot when they simply cant beat a team, ever which is the current case, and you cant really blame a team for retaliating to that sort of thing.

It would be interesting if Leigh do make it in to SL next year, and then compare the trouble they get in when they aren't winning every game for years at a time.

Featherstone were the previous dominant force in the Championship, finishing top of the table four years running prior to Leigh's good run starting last year and the team that every other team wanted to beat throughout that era, yet there was never any persistent suggestion either of Featherstone using thuggish tactics or their opponents resorting to such tactics on a consistent basis.

I get the impression that opposition owners/chairs,head coaches,and opposition players seem to have come to the same opinion as some fans.

I don't think jealousy is the correct word.

A successful side,consistently winning should be admired.

It is increasingly the case that Leigh Centurions are NOT admired.

And here's an example of why Leigh are making so few friends amongst other clubs - any criticism is immediately rejected as jealousy. There are plenty of us who have commented admiringly about some of the tremendous open rugby Leigh have played over the last couple of years, and you'd struggle to find many Championship followers who wouldn't say they've been head and shoulders the best team in the division over the last 18 months, but if anyone dares to comment on their disciplinary record or the on-field attitude of some of their players towards officials/opponents, it's immediately dismissed as "jealousy" from other teams' fans. Well, forget about the fans, have a read of the comments made by players from a wide range of Championship rivals last night and this morning as the Twitter spat unfolded. The taunting, the patting of heads after an opponent's mistake etc and the boorish behaviour of the director of rugby etc has left its mark.

It's all getting a 'little bit' silly now. v Fax yesterday, like I have already posted, if we'd have lost...no complaints. Halifax made hardly any mistakes. and definitely the best side that nullified our attack in 2015. As for the Wakefield game, why are some fans even arguing 6 days before the game ? As a Leigh fan, i will keep my opinion to myself in regards to some of the players. These players consider themselves 'Enforcers' and to be honest, need to take a Leaf out of Fui's book and get on with the game ! If they did this, they might be half decent players.

One thing is for sure, Sundays game will be interesting. Wakefield will have something to prove and Leigh haven't played well the past 2 games at all. You have to fancy Wakey at home for this one, and by some margin surly ?

Well, Leigh have beaten London twice this year, both times fair and square, both times the better team won and neither game was dirty in amy way, I admire them and most of us wish we had their Chairman at London.

I think virtually every club would rather have Uncle Derek as their chairman. The one think that irks me about Marc Green (my chairman) is that he doesn't call people a soft nob anywhere near enough.

A few weeks ago Derek told a Salford fan on twitter that he spent more on wine than the lad earns in a year.

Theres an awful lot of baggage amongst the championship that isnt fair airing on any forum but is the catalyst for most on field violence vs Batley, Fax and Fev. What we need are strong referees and when weve had those in GF's, Leeds in the cup last year and Salford this year, no punch ups just quick open RL.

As for cheap shots, i could make a DVD from last year alone of the Fev player Jason Crookes who twice nearly took Sam Barlows head off once in the GF at Leeds.

As many 'neutral' fans have said shock horror opposition dont like us when weve won 24 on the trot...

Although not a fan of Beaumont I quite like the way Leigh are playing ATM, they have the best coach outside SL and their style of play is like a breath of fresh air to the game as other championship teams look predicably boring. I would love to see them in SL next year.
