The team warning is the biggest bs rule change I've seen. Sin binning a player is a game changer in the modern game and should only be used for bad offences like spear tackles, constant penalties by same player or a prof foul that stops a try being scored. Seeing a game decided by a laying on or simple offside is just shocking.

Great win by a very young Wigan side. Hull KR have always provided a very tough test.

Charnley first try was not as we all know, hopefully will see the end to child indefo.

Second was a try, i was looking at Edens arms and thought knock on until i noticed Farrell touching down on the replay.

Dobson try was obstruction clearly but no comment from anyone..lol

Overall a scrappy game, two teams not up to scratch..

The forward pass was, to anyone but the blind, a blatant forward pass, the Sky blather about "momentum" was ridiculous.

The try was rightly awarded. The only available freeze frame was AFTER the ball had touched down. At this point, as seen from behind the try line, it was touching the sideline with one side, but the centre of the ball was 100% definitely not in touch.

A ball is round. As it is grounded, the centre section touches first. That section MUST have touched the ground first, within the field of play, before the ball was compressed into the ground, so that the left side (as viewed) came to touch the line.

If the ball is in the field of play, i.e. the centre line of the ball is not in touch, then the shape of the ball and the fact that that part of the ball is nearer the ground than the rest of the ball means it is fact of physics that the part of the ball that touched the ground first was in play.

It was quite pathetic listening to Stevo cry about the forward passes and then having to listen to Cummings go on about the momentum rule. Riddle me this... How the hell can a ball have forward momentum when the person who passes the ball is on the floor not moving?... you can clearly see from the replay that the ball is caught forward from where the ball is passed.

The likes of Stevo only make situations like this worse because for some reason his "opinion" is seen as gospel when we all know he doesn't have a clue.

Psst it was just Eddie and Stevo but the former head of ref's as well and anyone who eyes function properly or and/or are not a Wigan fan.

Shame then that the angle of the ball was such that the edge nearest the dead all line was lowest. I mean you had actually taken time to draw/find a diagram on the other thread showing your flawed logic which in itself is a little worrying for us and upsetting for you.

Have you forgotten the incorrect Videoref decision which should have given Charnley a try when he managed to ground the ball around Hodgson?

The sky commentary was embarrassing last night. The try in the dying seconds of the first half to even up the score was not only thrilling but an exceptional display of skill. Sky practically ignored it because they were too busy thinking up scenarios which would invalidate the try.

50/50 for me, I think the rules say you have to have full control of the ball and I'm not sure he did.

Yes a good try. But more down to the ball bouncing straight into Charnleys arms, the way the ball didn't bounce for Hall on his own kick chase. As I just stated, a good try, but not all down to skill, quite a lot of luck as well.

I' m not moaning about it 'cos thats our game, but to claim it's all skill is ridiculous.

I wouldn't bother, just hang fire until the final hooter at Wembley and then give it some.

It always pays to have a touch judge from Wigan to help with dubious forward pass calls in an emergency. Charnley may have rewarded his fellow wiganer George Stokes with an introduction to some "nice ladies" after the game.

Indeed, how the hell would you adjudicate "full control". The law states downward pressure must be applied.

Haven't watched the game yet so can't comment on the decisions but the commentary frothing wasn't only on Sky. Woods and Kear were openly contemptuous re a couple of the VR decisions on 5 live extra.

I put "think" as I've not got the time nor inclination to go through the wording of every rugby league rule but if it is downward pressure then that would be far easier to adjudicate by looking at pictures wouldn't it

I realise people don't have the time or inclination to know the laws back to front, but they really should have the wherewithal to disregard everything Stevo says! "Full control" is his myth!

Both teams got away with loads of stuff, including messing around at the PTB. However, it was Hull kr's inability to capitalize on Hampshire's knock on near the end and Smith's superb 40/20 that helped Wigan win in the end.

I guess it was an ok try, i guess. Hull kr switched off, the decision put wigan in that position, it was a lucky bounce, everything went in your favour.......
