| Fair play to him for taking a stand - he's not getting any younger and if he feels that McBanana is messing him around, then he's entitled to take matters into his own hands.
Real shame though - in the form he's currently in, he could have been an asset.

| The French and Welsh players arn't eligible so I doubt Brough will be.
Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if McCormack told him to jog on.

It would also make the Welshies at Wigan eligible. I think it's more a southern hemisphere team v England game, rather than the Rest of The World v England, but Brough out performing Sinfield and proving McBanana is a incompetent fool would be a great spectacle.

Thought Nanyn had played for Wales. How old is he now, must be pushing 40 or been around since he was 12.

Shaun Lunt is also eligible for Scotland, and seeing as he doesn't seem to be in England's plans then he may throw his hat in the ring with the Scots.

Presumably that is why they don't have players who could also play for England playing for the Exiles. It should be England -v- Super League, then any player of any nationality not selected by McNamara would be eligible.
It would give it an extra bit of spice, with 5 or 6 players rejected by McNamara playing against his selections.

No doubt the usual media suspects will now be proclaiming England's World Cup campaign dead and buried now Brough has made himself ineligible

Indeed. But he's thrown a paddy after being left out of the Autumn Internationals last year, a year where he wasn't in form at the end of the season.
If he hadn't thrown his paddy then maybe he'd be in the next squad picked.

You can add Joe Wardle to that squad too, he played for them last year.
Just to say the captains of Wales, Ireland and Scotland all play for the Giants.
Wales Koppy
Ireland Grix
Scotland Brough

| Myler has been brilliant for Wire this season and from what I have seen of Brough and Myler I would chose Myler, and with Briers out for so long his kicking game has been great as well. Also as said earlier I have always questioned his temperament, he seems to be shunted around quite a bit from club to club Hull, Wakefield, Cas ??, Hudd.

Brough has the talent and is in good form but you do have to question why none of the 'top' clubs have been in for him when he has been available due to one reason or another, what were the reason for him leaving castleford and then wakefield, didn't he get booted out of Wakefield or is my memory failing me?

| He wasn't 'available' from Wakefield, we offered a transfer fee/deal for him which was reluctantly accepted.
He came to Huddersfield because we had him as a transfer target and got our man.
Since he has been with us his attitude, temperament and all round game has improved massively, hence why he got given our captaincy last year as even though the club was falling apart, Brough was the one who was trying to keep it all together. The problems he had in the past have gone.

Good on him, he'll be a great asset to the Scotland set up then where he doesn't have to play 'second fiddle' to anyone.
Also my apologies it was Hull where was booted out from. He left Wakefield just after the start of a season I believe.
