| He is very smart, little things like keeping the Ref talking when he knows his team are exhausted, knowing when to kick at goal when every other player would tap, knowing the right time to instruct the team that he needs 5 mins of massive effort. its these little things that he does that require intelligence. Leeds without Sinfield are a good team, with him they are a great team

| Be honest Leeds are an average team for about 3/4 of the year and a good side for the last 1/4 when it counts.

Hmmmm.... Better that than being good for the first half of the year then falling asleep when it counts.
If the national squad were "just good when it counted" (like Australia are)then I would be happy.

They do seem to fall in love with certain players, and once they do, objective analysis of what's in front of them is even rarer.
I think Sinfield himself acknowledges that his talent is being decent at all parts of the game, rather than outstanding at one. That's fine, and we all know those type of player can be under appreciated, but it doesn't help people appreciate a player if commentators just blindly praise when anyone with a pair of eyes can see that a particular play didn't warrant it. Its embarrassing at times ( Wellens is another they adore unconditionally ). I think Stevo would be much better served, and less prone to this stuff, with a really high quality lead commentator alongside him.

Honest question, are you OK with a competition that's winnable even though a team has been average for three quarters of the year? Not knocking Leeds at all here, the reason I ask is that my mate is a Leeds fan and said that whilst he likes winning the GF of course, his RL enjoyment is supposed to last all year, not just the last few games, and even he was questioning the wisdom of being allowed to 'get away with it' ( average, inconsistent play that is) for too many games.

You say winnable but it seems to be Leeds the only side capable of it. The really simple way to shut big bad inconsistent Leeds up and maybe make them more entertaining throughout the year is if the likes of Saints, Wigan & Warrington stood up and beat them in the playoffs.

The CC can also be won by teams that aren't necessarily good throughout the year, so in principle I can be happy with that. Re Leeds in particular -and I'm a fan - of course I want them to play better in the regular season than they did in 2012. As do the players and coach. I'm certain the 5th-placed finish wasn't intentional and happily the signs are there that we're capable of better this year. We may not, however, win the grand final but should we fail to do so I don't think it will be a consequence of devoting more effort to the league.

He was but he was not on his own.
I thought Peacock was immense once again.
Scoreline flattened Warrington who looked clueless without Briers directing traffic.

Of course it was sarcasm. It's the usual typical repetitive and predictable behavior of some of the weird fans that rugby league seems to attract.
The knives are out for him this year due to him winning the Golden Boot.

I personally don't think he's a bad club player, in the big games he usually comes up with the goods for leeds. Is he up to the standard of international stand off? Not even close and doesn't seem to have that same motivation for England as he does for leeds. But tonight rob borrow and peacock was leeds best.

That's a new one - he isn't motivated to play for England?
The last half dozen England games, he's been the pick of the half back partnership whether he's been paired with either Chase or Myler. Most of the good things England have done in those games have come off Sinfield directing traffic at first receiver.

Cant agree more.Grand finals he is great.BUT against australia he just gets dominated by the opposition half backs in terms of kicking and just overall quality

I thought Burrow was pretty ineffective tbh. No, your correct to think he isn't a "bad club player". I wonder how you rate most of your team?

You're still just dripping with bitterness over the way Leeds and Sinfield humiliated Wigan in 2012. It's absolutely fantastic

i thought borrow made loads of meters out of dummy half keeping warrington going backwards all night.
i can rate them for you;
Sam Tomkins- international standard - best english back we have
josh Charnley- good club standard could become a good international
darrell goulding- most underrate club standard in super league
ian thornley- club standard probably never become anything else
pat richards- international standard winger
blake green- showing he's a good club standard player
matty smith- solid club standard half back but still learning
now the forwards are hard to rate as the youngsters are stepping up, but my opinion as follows;
dudson- club standard prop, still really young and i think he has potential to becoming a good international for wales.
Mc'illorum - nobody other than wigan fans will agree with this but here goes anyway, think he's international standard Wigans best hooker since terry newton.
mossop- needs to be more consistent with he's form before he's counted as a top international standard but he's close to it.
hansen- one of the best club standard 2nd rows coincidentally i think this season and last season Delany is the best club standard 2nd row
liam farrel- hes size will probably hold him back from international standard but a very good club standard 2nd row
sean o'loughlin- the best ENGLISH international lose forward
prescott, tuson, flower are all club standard
tom spencer- cant really rate him has huge potential
greg burke, dominic crosby- are already good club standard players

very much sarcastic yes, i haven't seen sinfield do anything that any other player does to be lauded over so much by certain people in the media.he is a very good leader but nothing special as a player IMO.

| This is cringe-worthy. Just cringe-worthy. I've watched Sinfield his entire career. I've seen his greatness first hand as he has captained Leeds to six titles, collecting Harry Sunderlands and Lance Todds along the way.
If it's all the same I'll rely upon on what mine eyes have seen rather than the bitter opinions of some Huddersfield fans who, lets face it, unless they're 70+ year old haven't witnessed greatness week after week like I have during Sinfield's career.

He is the Golden Boot winner for being the best player in the World.
But is he better than Cliff Lyons?

I don't have the slightest problem with what Leeds have achieved. Nor do I think the competition is 'unfair'. It is what it is and you do what you have to do to win it. The question for me is whether people thing a) does it reduce the importance to you of the regular season?, and b) does it matter?
