Solomona is naturally a big guy, with a 4 month period were training was virtually non existant due to his injury its inevitable he would put some weight on. The major difference is a guy like Solomona, in comparision to some of the people who watch the game (and no doubt contributing to this pointless thread) who are spherical, can shift that weight when they have the chance to.

No he was a fully fit player capable of running a marathon and hitting the gym, go for a bike ride, swim the channel anything he wanted except play rugby for being a drug user. Unlike Solo who was just injured.

Comparing Sols ball Skills to Hocks destroys any argument you had. Also perhaps Hocks inability to use a knife and fork prohibits him from ingesting enough of the finer foods to allow weight gain. Let's not go into Hocks other activities that may promote weight loss.

If you are not expending as much energy, you just eat less. Your body has a 'maintanence' level of calories, depending on your weight, bodytype, metabolism. I'd imagine that would be quite alot for solomona considering he's naturally thickset. He must have eaten like a total pig to put on weight like that.

I don't know why people are defending solomona unless you are overweight as well.

Having been in his company within the last 7 days and stood next to the guy, he is anything but fat. I think you have to appreciate the physical make up of someone like Solomona. I am defending him on the basis I reckon you have no grounds to say he has "eaten like a pig". I also reckon he would run rings around you in a fitness test

With some of the things being said on here I have to ask the question. Why is Amos Roberts not the size of solomona?

He had a few very long periods with leg problems. Along with all the surgeons trying to sort out his injuries I would suggest he spent a lot longer not being able to do normal physical activity than solomona.

This goes for every other player who has had a leg problem, Richard Owen for example. What about phil Bentham. Saw him on tv the other day, he looks no worse than before is leg broke.

Disregarding the stupidity of your post, my point still stands, what exactly did Solomona do that makes him better than other players that can be named. I quoted Hock, but I rate Westwood over Solomona, as I do several other players from several different teams.

Im not saying that only a Wigan player is better than Solomona, Im saying that quite a few different teams have players that surpass him.

I get the feeling he was a good player once and some sentimentality is playing a part in some Wire fans heads.

Solomona is a class player. He looks overweight yes but I'll bet a pound to a penny that he could out run 99.9% of the posters on here.

his size adds to his ability to offload as he targets single tacklers and it is very hard for thenm to bothe wrap him and the ball up

He was the only Warrington player making consistent yardage against Salford...........and most of the time with 4 Salford players hanging off him.
