Let's face it, Rugby League fans generally have an aversion to anything that might possibly cost them money. The idea of paying for a form of entertainment seems pretty lost on people.
We'll have exactly the same discussion about "£5 tickets" during the CCR4 weekend.
I got a letter through the post yesterday all about a range of different deals for wembley, CC etc.
Went to the Wembley doubleheader last November on the £10 ticket offer.
I think they're right to try to maximise income from the games & hopefully bring money into the game rather than run them all as loss making exhibitions. The key thing is how to get the right balance so that there's a good crowd & atmosphere combined with a profit & I dont think they've got it right quite yet for everything but the CC & GF finals.
The only exiles deal I've heard of so far is £42 for a ticket to one of the games plus the 2 shirts - but that's open to community clubs not the general public.
