| I can't believe KC only has England vs Fiji. Oh well. Will likely go watch the games in Craven Park, but will see what goes for the others. No way am I going to millenium.

How many Welsh fans will be that bothered about England v.s Australia?
'"
It seems an odd decision initially but Wembely/Old trafford will hold the semi final/final. They want to spread the big games (opener/semifinal/final) across different areas and Yorkshire doesnt have any sutible stadia.
The Welsh fans may be bothered about the Wales v Italy game which is on before hand and think the opportunity to watch England v.s Australia as well is worth turning up for.

| baffled by cardiff to be honest. I will travel but very surprised by it!
I don't like the fact the the semi final and final venue's still TBA. I mean it comes across pretty amateurish!
These venue's should be already put in place with the build up starting now. If London doesnt get a semi or final I wont be happy!

| I think Cardiff is a great venue choice for England vs Australia, there must be hundreds of thousand who have been there before and enjoyed the game and the experience. You can day trip or stay longer.
If England are to be in with a chance of winning the tournament they need to win in Cardiff, if you have any interest in Rugby League at all, you should be there. The same with the World Cup Semi final double header and the final itself. I would prefer more "must see" games. There were seven for me in 2008, only these three in 2013 feels a step back.

I appreciate your point, but RL is played in more nations than just England, Australia and NZ. The games involving the 'lesser' teams are likely to just as entertaining, if not more so. I know I will probably enjoy them more.

That's thanks to St Helens Council (useless bunch they are - now that Labour are back in). The Council said it didn't want to spend any money on having more than one group match because of 'the cuts' (like no other council has to make cuts!). That was in direct contrast to Warrington, also making lots of cuts (I work at Warrington Council at present), who fired in for the lot and got pretty much the lot!
What troubles me most though about Langtree Park getting the Australia - Fiji match is that our Chairman has decreed that we are the home game for Australia and as such we are supposed to be supporting Australia. Stuff that. I'm Fijian for the day!

Which games though?
The last world cup had evenly matched groups and all the games were ones i wanted to see. I look down the list and see missed opportunities. No England v NZ, no Samoa v Tonga, No celtic teams facing each other.

There may not be as many 'big matches', but we can't have the same nations playing each other every time. Personally I'd prefer see a fair draw rather than doctoring it to produce 'attractive' fixtures as happened in 2008, and I also enjoy watching nations with different styles facing each other. That's just me though, I guess everyone sees it differently, hopefully all the matches should be entertaining and competitive though.

I can't wait for the opener to be honest.
Loved Wembley double header last year and this time Wales play a team they can compete with, in Wales. Should be a good atmosphere.
Think everything boils down to ticket pricing, the RFL have to realise that if they keep prices down, fans will go to multiple games.

Of course. Not sure what the Challenge Cup final has to do with this though.
Sorry, but I just think its a pretty bizarre decision myself, but would hope for a good crowd to be there.
IMO would have been better off hosting the game in the heartlands. Just my humble opinion.

| When are the dates announced? Might see about cheap flights to Ireland for the game v he Aussies in Limerick (hope it's a weekend!).Surely the RLWC should have opened with a Wembley double header? After the 4 nations in 2012 this was a no-brainer! I don't want to get on the 'let's all slag the RFL 'bandwagon but they can't seem to do anything other than shoot themselves in the foot can they?

| Was hoping for an England-Australia/Group B match at Wembley for the opener, and another England/Wales double header at Cardiff later. But hopefully there will still be a DH at Wembley for the semis. Overall the matches seem pretty well matched up, and the QFs will (hopefully) play out as expected for the crowds sake - though obviously hoping for some good matches in the lead up!

justarugbyfan mentioned the idea to me that they might do a Final & 3rd v 4th game at Wembley. Covers the Aussies and Kiwis going to the game and the English, that's if those three are going to be there. It's an idea.
I like the idea of 2 semi's though with the Final at maybe the Etihad

| The game given to Bristol does seem odd, but hopefully they'll schedule it for the first Sunday of the tournament, assuming the Cardiff double header kicks it all off on the Saturday.
That way they could hope to get people who have gone down to Cardiff taking the match in on there way home. Schedule a 13.00 kick-off, or something similar, and you're giving people time to make their journey home at a decent hour as well.

| Quote ="UllFC"Hosting England-Australia (the tournaments biggest crowd puller) in Wales is absolute madness. This game should have been taken to either Wembley, Old Trafford, The Emirates, City Of Manchester or dare I say it even Twickenham. I can't see thousands of fans traveling down to Wales in November for a game that will be live on TV.
I also feel Doncaster/Sheffield must feel pretty miffed at missing out when grounds like Craven Park and Whitehaven get 2 games each.'"
Did City of Manchester or Twickenham bid to host games? for me nothing wrong with going to cardiff. Great city, great ground. Not much differance in going to cardiff or london.

Cracking idea! If I'm over for the start of the tournament then I'd love the opportunity to attend this game too.
