It's a totally different subscription to your Sky package; the payment is made directly to Premier Sports and the last time I subscribed, there was no minimum contract, so I cancelled it as soon as the NRL season finished and will be re-subscribing soon, in time for round 1.

The only downside is that it's not in HD and can appear quite grainy - I upgraded to a fancy dan TV recently and perversely, that seemed to make it even worse; I guess HD might come later if they get sufficient numbers of people signing up.

All in all though, terrific value, if not especially good for marital harmony; 1 live game, 2 Sky games and 3-4 NRL games per weekend tested the bread knife's patience somewhat.

At £2 it's a hell of a lot cheaper than the SRL from sky sports and you get more games per week. Not bothered that it isn't in HD and might be a bit grainy. I'm guessing all I have to do is contact sky and ask them to switch premier sports on?

No, I have no sky subscription and just signed up for premier who sent me a card.

I will be subscribing to Premier sports again for this coming season . £7.99 is a great price for the amount of games shown . They charged me 2 extra months last year after I cancelled in September so I will be after two free months at least.

Incidentally, if anyone decides to subscribe they will be asked what sport will they be watching most. Don't just say RL, specify CHAMPIONSHIP RL, you will then be asked which team and if you name a Championship/Championship 1 team they will receive £10 from your subscription.

It appears that the NRL will be streamed live again this year via the usual betting sites. I've just checked Bet365s shedule and they have Thursday mornings game listed. All good news for us tight gits that don't want to pay for Premier Sports.

I have to watch it on bet365 but would prefer to watch it on premier sports. Gutted virgin don't have this channel

Yes , fantastic , the opening match of Leigh's Championship season , live on premier sports on a thursday night , the same night both Man utd and Man City are on the TV as well , that should decimate our attendance nicely , marvelous

On another note, I cancelled PS in October after the semi's and they never switched my feed off. I was all excited thinking I'd get free NRL this season but guess what the b*ggers did this weekend!.. turned the feed off

Premier Sports are spending over a million pounds on production for this season, and giving the clubs £10 for each sign up they get (mine went to York). Dave Woods & Ian Ramsdale are the commentary team.

Exactly the same thing happened to me. I've been quite enjoying the free Vancouver Cannucks games.
