For people to make comment on her in this way is distasteful, bigotted and downright nasty.

She's a journalist/presenter that actually appears to be doing a good job, more importantly she's a human being who's done nothing wrong, give her some ing respect for christs sake.

..and even more to her credit, she does it in an environment frequently made more difficult by those same knucklescrapers mentioned above.

Tanya Arnold is very good at her job.

It's hardly a shock that adolescents and Neanderthals see her as fair game for misogynist put-downs; she has a deeper than average voice, and in the primary school yard, any characteristic that is different makes a target. Of course, most of these morons well know that their comments are crass and inappropriate, as they would certainly never make the same comments to her face, and would be cringingly mortified and embarrassed to be personally identified to her and pointed out what they had said anonymously.

Just for the record, i think shes an excellent broadcaster, and covers our game with great professionalism.

I have to say this has been one of the best threads I've seen in a while. From it's well observed comment to its complete open discussion ranging the entire spectrum of male moral viewpoints. We are nothing it not diverse.

She's a good presenter and knows her stuff. Looking forward to the new Super League Show on Sunday 5th Feb. Will miss Harry Gration though.

I've had a great start thanks, I just get sick of the so called adults here laying into people who don't in the slightest deserve the horrendous comments made about them. That the mods seem happy to allow it is all the more sickening given their heavy handedness at other times.. Is it because the person in question is a women that makes her fair game for male posters to call her this that and the other. If that was said to one of my female friends I'd be decking the that was saying it, I'm sure most here would, so why is acceptable for certain forum members to make these comments when it would not be acceptable in any other walk of life?

That you didn't back up my comment but came out with something completely inane suggests you might be one of the playground bullies too, is that the case or do you have something postive to add to the forum?

Certain mods are only in charge of certain boards and have no power in a board they are not modding ie I'm a Warrington mod ONLY, likewise for most people.

I agree with this. Eddie and Stevo get worse comments than a few remarks on her low voice. I think most here agree that it's a very good appointment from the BBC.
