@ Foster's comments.
Reporter: "What do you think about Ryan Bailey's behaviour?"
Foster: "I don't want to say to much, but he's a complete joke".
Imagine if he opened up...

| Of all the RL professionals I've met and spoke to in my life, I can safely say Jon Wilkin has been the only childish player I've met.
We all love our RL, but this kid has RL and Saints out of context with the real world and really needs to come down a peg or two - yet again we hear another of his annual sour grapes post GF comments.
If it had have been a one-off and he mentioned Bailey at the end of the interview when prompted by the interviewer then fair enough, but it was a few seconds in to the interview before he starts mentioning Bailey. Anyone with any class would have complimented the exceptional and superb play by Burrows or commend Sinfield for being the class captain that he is but instead he waffles about Bailey.
The bottom line is that even though Saints are a well coached, well drilled and very consistent team, the harsh reality is they lack the individual match winners and class to beat Leeds when it matters - and this has been proven by their last 4 GF's with Leeds so he needs to show some humility and accept that fact without winging.

| Bailey is a tool if this is the kind of thing he does. He had just won another GF but still thought he had to goad a Saints kid who was in tears? Classy Mr. Bailey!!!
As a Leeds fan I think he has improved beyond belief this year as a player but gone backwards as a person. Yes he has plenty of GF winners rings but he will NEVER have the respect of fellow professionals or fans. Leeds or opposition. Some Leeds fans wont have a bad word said about him but this behaviour should open their eyes.
With regards Jon Wilkin having a moan he really should look at his performance before running his mouth. Yes what Bailey did was wrong but for God sake man STFU!!

Jon Wilkin wouldn't know it "like it is" if it came up and bit him on the backside.
He's a serial whinger, serial big game bottler and the ultimate hypocrite - running to tell a teacher about what one of the bigger boys did is hardly the epitome of grown up behaviour after all.
Ryan Bailey's been "fair game" all his career. Bigger men than Jon Wilkin have tried and failed miserably - ask Luke O'Donnell how much it hurts when you do.

Rubbish. Bailey isn't a hard man. He isn't a tough prop. He's nothing special. The only time I've seen him stand still when someone goes after him was when Sculthorpe demolished him.
The Bailey of old I don't have a problem with. Nothing wrong with being physical and intimidating your opposition. Classic Bailey was the headbutt on Fa'asavalu at KR and then him being chased around the pitch by an enraged James Graham and his refusal to stand up to him.
This incident is something entirely different. Goading and mocking young players in their first season in the game is just not on. It doesn't fit with how Leeds play the game or the likes of Sinfield, Peacock and Burrow.
You ask them whether they thought it was 'funny'.

Welcome to the real world kid.
I'm a little worried that your young players may find professional sport and life outside their Mum's apron strings a touch tricky in that case. Have they considered competitive crochet, or vegetable growing?

You act with the same lack of class yourself. It's not the worst crime in the world, but it's just embarrasing and puts your club in a bad light.

Oh FFS give it a rest.
I suspect, like many other professional sports clubs, players, coaches and fans, Ryan Bailey enjoys being a winner much more than he enjoys being popular.
Perhaps he could offer Jon Wilkin a few pointers on the former?

| The thing with Wilkin is that he does a lot of development and promotion work bringing kids into the Rugby League game, not sure if it was last year or the year before he won some kind of cooperative award for encouraging the kids in the community to come into the game. So when he sees this kind of behaviour bullying young and smaller players it must unfold all the work he is trying to achieve.
The incident at the Grand Final happened when the game had finished, the battle was over, respect is shown to the opposition and the winners celebrate there achievement. For Bailey NO he had to carry on goad, whoop up, threaten the young opposition players who were already deflated by the hard work resulting in defeat,
Same thing happened at Warrington in the Semi Final, he was even goading and jesturing to the crowd, after the game was over. Same thing against Wigan bullying a young player after the Challenge Cup Final, the young player wasn,t even in the first team he was an acadamy player.
So who would you prefer Wilkin putting something back into the game and encouraging young players to take up the game or Bailey (who jokes about the thousands of dead killed in the japanese earhquake) who bullies the smaller and younger players as a gesture to being a "big man", after the game of course.

| At least he saved it to after a game this time, its common knowledge that Leeds players we're talking to Hull players as if they had already won the CC in 2005 in the tunnel.

| I've now got a lot of respect for Wilkin.
The only reason I wanted Saints to win the Grand Final (apart from family in St Helens) was Bailey. He's a dirty cheat who always seems to be stirring trouble both on and off the pitch.
Bet the England camp will be lively

Just listened to this on-line and I think Wilkin comes across OK and not too bitter. The problem is though that winning a game of Rugby League is not dependent on being a decent human being... like any walk of life and any sport, we will have some decent blokes in RL just as we will have some idiots. Ryan Bailey falls squarely into the second category and I wouldn’t entertain him as a person but he makes a pretty good pantomime villain for our sport

so is this actually true then or have you made it up / read it elsewhere?
if you're just repeating a story you've read elsewhere then you're a bigger tool than Wilkin.

As much as I cant stand Bailey like the majority of people, I think we need the od d1ckhead/villain in the game like him and cockane etc.. because its great when they get whats coming to them ie scully, radford..
No matter whos playing im passionate about england winning against OZ but soon as bailey gets the ball I want to see him get smashed
