The first things I said were: I don't wish injury on anyone, I wouldn't say he deserved it, and it's a shame he's out for so long.

Is it a capital crime not to feel sympathy for him when taking the circumstances into account? Or to state the truth - that if he hadn't made that cynical professional foul, he wouldn't be injured? Is that so bad? Hung, draw and quarter me ffs, but only after you've polished your halo.

Hope he recovers quickly, he's been the talisman for Leeds this season.

Not sure I agree with Brian McLennan's comments about his injury being caused by Wigan foul play from the footage I've seen, maybe I missed something.

How can you say that,alright he pulled Carmont back and he might have stopped a try(not a certain try by any means) but that does not justify your stupid comment.

Well, he did. He grabbed Carmont, overextended and his leg buckled as a result. He kind of brought it on himself by his own actions, no? If he'd been tackled and his leg had twisted badly he'd have someone else to blame. As it is, he can only look at himself. He caused the injury, no-one else.

And there you go again, making idiotic comparisons with other players.

a player commits a professional foul. That player hurts himself in the process and the fans of the losing team are out in force gloating. Disgusting behaviour to wish injury on anyone...especially a guy who earns his living by entertaining us whilst putting his body through the wringer week in week out



Regardless of who pulled who back or who locked whose arm into a tackle....Wigan blew an 18 point lead....they have only themselves to blame. I dared to mention it a while back that maybe they were having a case of the wobbles and may well bottle it......but to deflect away from their failings, some fans are all over an incident that took 10 seconds of an 80 minute game of Rugby League.....
The better team on the day won. Wigan fans should concentrate on getting past the East Hull Australians instead of dwelling on perceived injustices from something that isn;t going to change.

I've actually been quite shocked and disgusted by some of the posts I've read on here over the last few days.

You would think McGuire had committed the most heinous foul to ever grace a RL pitch, and the strange thing about it all is that if McGuire had been penalised wouldn't the penalty have been further away for Richards to kick the goal (or not as it were). And for some people to actually seem to take delight in a RL player getting a serious injury, well thats just classless and a bit sick.

Good point. All the wig*n fans that claim carmont was nailed on to score seem to forget that the foul occured in wigans half. Carmont isn't exactly the quickest and there was plenty of cover coming across, some of who are far faster than Carmont.

If wigan had kicked for touch and then gone for a drop goal then they might have won and if they had I don't think there would be even a fraction of the bitterness about McGuire that there has been. Seems to be a case of poor losers rather than any truly 'terrible' crime from McGuire.

so does joel tomkins deserve to be cremated alive then, for his kick at mcguire?

I agree mcGuire did foul Carmont It happened right in front of me, and as Wigan fan I am disappointed with the result, but I am sorry to say that no player ever deserves an injury no matter who he is or what team he plays for.
Our game is bad enough with all second rate Aussies. We will never win anything unless we have players like Tomkins , Mcguire peacock et all fit and at their best for the internationals.
