Yes it was a good effort, and well done to the lad but lets not get carried away.

We got totally exposed in the first half and i'm not sure we've got the players to come in and strengthen us up enough to win next week but we have to look at the positives and Tomkins, Shenton, Eastmond, Crabtree and Sinfield were definatly that.

What are you talking about, Mcguire was shocking today, what that has to do with Tomkins Im not sure, the lad went OK.

I agree. In the second half he did well but looked like he didnt want to know in the first and didnt get involved at all. Once his confidence grew and with the introduction of Eastmond he seemed to thrive. Overall a good first competitive game which bodes well for the future.

Tomkins was excellent.

How long do we have to put up with McGuire at International level, he is simply not good enough.

I was probably most impressed with his defence today. His enthusiasm was second to none and seemed to lift the rest of the side at the beginning of the second half. Hodges got no change from him all afternoon and spat his dummy out on a couple of occasions.

Bar tackling himself into a standstill and screaming himself crazy for a pass. The amount of times we ran to the left in the first half and missed him out was criminal.

One thing you can never accuse Tomkins of is hiding away and not getting involved.

Sam Tomkins is one of the only ones who can go off with head held high!

He must play next week.

he did ok nothing more did ok second half but there where better players today take you wigan glasses of.

I thought the majority could at least take some srt of pride away from their preformences.

Bar our right side defence the team actually went ok in the main and we at least have something to build on.

you narrowed down now it was not a game for the English backs but Ellis Burges Crabtree Sinfeild was all better but the young lad did ok.

not knocking him just thought it 50 mins for him to get into the game when saint mate came on he played 3 times better.

He was the only one who looked alive in the backs and made the most of what little space we had, take everything into account, how much we got dominated etc and he was superb.

yes he did he will benifet for the run out he seamed a little star struck in the first half and to be fair there was 13 others the same.

Was ready to slag him off in the first half, not doing anything to bad but getting knocked about by the aussies too easily and wasnt really get the ball out or breaking through. Much much better 2nd half performance some nice little running, passing and kicking, think he is going to be our future england 6 if he can bulk up a bit and learn from the experiance.

Alot of praise for eastmond too, he was a better half from centre for half the match that mguire was at stand off for most of the match.

A number of the forwards had good games and out right hand side defence was unbreached after 80 mins against the aussies.

Bar the 26 points they conceded in the first half

He was good in the second half but anonymous in the first. He looked a little intimidated and as if he didnt want to know, which is hardly surprising considering it his first real competitive international game. I dont really see how anyone can argue with that. Obviously Wigan fans with rose tinted spectacles will say otherwise.

In the first half no one passed him the ball, he was being missed out in the line.

I have heard it all now, aw poor little Sam. Take the blinkers off

Laugh all you like, watch the game again and then come back and tell me he was not missed out in the line.
