I think there is a get-tough climate on sporting disciplinary boards. With that blood thing in RU, tapping up and diving in football and even sex tests in athletics, surely it's time for RL to regain the high ground?

IIRC there was an important game at Leeds that Saints were winning but Leeds were mounting a comeback and getting on a roll, they had an Aussie centre who looked odds on to score until Vila rattled him, it was a bad tackle but the ref missed it.
Leeds lost heart, that tackle turned the game.

Leeds game plan work to perfection on Friday. They clearly decided to rough Stains up and Graham in particular. A couple of things they went too far in hence the bans but I was surprised at the lack of heart of some of the Stains players.

Can you imagine the Andy Platts and Kevin Wards letting Leeds get away with what they did? They'd have given it back, then some - and shaken hands after the game.

Aus and NZ will try exactly the same thing to Graham in the 4 Nations now after watching that.

I think it was obvious to anyone who saw that incident the aggression in Seniors action was totally unrequired on the field. He has been banned because of the entire incident he lost control.

Senior does show some mentally inadequate tendencies at times. They talk up Graham not showing respect and sportmanship.

Gilmour didn't get banned because he punches like a blind girl and couldn't even knock an unsuspecting Sean Long over.

But Schofield and Murphy will say anything's deplorable if the papers will give them £20.
