| I think it is a little unfair to blame Hull K.R fans for the crowd on Monday.
Given that there is an England game in the city in the same week some fans may have chose to go to that game instead.

And all this talk of whose supporters were there - it was bloody freezing! I had my Trinity shirt on under a fleece and a coat and I didn't see a massive number with obvious club colours showing. How anybody can make any judgements about the number of HKR, FC or any other club's supporters is beyond me. Oh hang on - it's a VT thread!
The main disappointments of the night for me were a) PNG not turning up and b) being sold two bottles of beer for Ā£6.80 but not being told that we couldn't take them to our seats!'"

| If we want to be hyper critical of the organisers, maybe 3 games in Hull in 2 weeks was pushing it a little too much.
Maybe spreading it wider and putting one game elsewhere would have been better, but hindsight is wonderful.
In the end the crowd is not that bad, it just looks not as good when lined up with some fantastic crowds elsewhere. As for having a go at certain clubs fans, that's pretty pointless as no-one has a clue who went and who didn't. Also we have no idea which fans are turning up elsewhere.
For example if say the total crowd at Hull where all Hull KR fans, and 90% of the crowd at Huddersfield where also Hull KR fans, then how can you argue they are letting anyone down.
It's an international competition so the crowds are what they are, it's not about the SL team or SL fans, get over the petty squables.

| It's not a case of hindsight. Anyone could see 1 year ago that playing two games out of Craven Park was an utterly stupid decision, especially with the other stadium in the city getting one of the biggest games of the tournament as well. For context, St Helens , Huddersfield and Wigan got only one game each, Leeds only got two, and Warrington only got two. These are all clubs with equal/better stadia to the city of Hull. It's nothing to do with hindsight, it was just a crazy decision to take the France-PNG game into Craven Park......... those two 7k crowds could have been turned into 10k plus crowds.

| FWIW I'm a Rovers fan but have chosen this Saturday's England match at the KC rather than either Craven Park match. I'd imagine a great deal of other Hull-based RL fans will do the same. Don't see anything wrong with that personally.

| I did originally think giving KR 2 games was a bit much, but living in Wigan I've been pretty lucky in that I've been to games at Wire, Rochdale, St Helens , Leigh and Salford tomorrow which are all within a reasonably close distance and all easy enough to get to. All those before the Wigan QF. Where as I guess over In Hull, other than going to Leeds ( which is still a good 60 mile journey?..) they haven't got the luxury of having so many games nearby which would possibly put those not wanting to travel to far off.

| Have no idea why one of the 2 games scheduled for HKR wasn't given to the Wakefield area... Not one game in one of the most fanatical RL areas in the country is a joke in itself tbh.

| Difficult to know in advance how things are gonna work out. So maybe the 2 games at HKR didn't quite pan out as well as might have been hoped. OTOH, the 2 at Worky were pretty successful. Had you asked me pre-WC I'd have predicted the opposite. As indeed would have many others, I suspect.

As the venues were allocated as part of a bidding process, presumably Wakefield MBC didn't feel that any stadia in the region were capable of hosting RLWC matches.

Let's be honest, in any ground in WMD you can see the game from all places in the ground and you also have the added bonus that in our area you have both sets of posts remaining after the game has finished
