fwiw, wasn't expecting a win, was pleasently suprised to be leading at half time but always expected hudds to turn us over in the second half, credit to some of our youngsters who were asked to do a difficult job and came out with their heads held high

Our youngsters have been given their chance and we are reaping the rewards now, not our fault other clubs cant or wont give young british lads a chance, even with the players out hull still had some quality on the field as proved in the first half , they were just blown away by the best backline in super league in the 2nd half.

made a full strength hudds team look very average at half time, shame they couldn't keep it up but the experience is invaluble to them!

just one question, how many youngsters have come up from the hudds u16s, 18s and not been signed from other teams then put into the u20s?

Should we be arguing that they are not youngsters anymore. You can class a youngster up to 21 yrs old not older surely?

Good luck for the rest of the season. Since Super League is in the business of rewarding mediocrity these days, your club may well finish 7th or 8th and play one extra fixture just like last season.

What does it matter whether they are from our u16' u18's or not? They are our youngsters and we have given them a chance in the first team, not to mention lunt,walker,fairbank,molloy missed out yesterday who have all been a part of our first team this season.
My point was that we are giving these young lads first team rugby unlike other clubs who rely on has beens and overseas players.

Has anyone actually said that you're not doing the right thing. Brown should be applauded for bringing young British players through. Ideally all clubs would follow this path, but as most clubs now have Aussie coaches its unlikely to happen. Despite us taking a hiding yesterday I'm not too downhearted. We didn't expect to win and the experience gained by our youngsters will do them good. I'm really looking forward to your next visit when, hopefully, our first team will be available.
