Its not been a great weekend for the Dream Team. Roby completely outclassed Clarke, Ryan Hall had a complete nightmare (whist Monaghan scored a hat-trick), Shenton got sinbinned in an otherwise completely anonymous performance, Kevin Brown looked impressive for 15 minutes then disappeared and Escare looked more than a match for Hardaker at full back.

Thaler asked for the grounding to be checked a couple of times in the other match and they checked onside/offside without being asked.

With an added two points from the win tonight the Catalan Dragons would be on 31 points . Leeds Rhinos finished on 32 , so they would still be in 6th on the league table .

Yeah I didnt think they are allowed to check but markers were clearly not square(which they wernt all game) and the guy who scored was offside(which both teams were all game). I thought all that mattered was getting the right decision but it seems that is only on some incidents though.

Im not sure how the video ref can check for some things but not others. Like a ball steal would only take a couple of quick views normally to get the right decision but refs get these wrong a decent percentage of the time yet they can check for restarts which sometimes takes quite a long time. Maybe they could have a captains call option or something where the captain can question 1 decision and send it to the screen, if they are wrong they lose the option but if they are right they keep it.

Players make errors every game every week, that's all it was, That error is not the only reason Leeds lost that game. But your typical fan loves to single out individuals in a team sport and make them scapegoats, usually because they don't have a clue about what they're talking about.

He did his very best to find obstructions that never were when tries were scored, even going as far as giving the most ridiculous obstruction penalty of the year against Warrington.

I had the impression the Leeds player either dummied to play it (to either delay or get a penalty), causing the Catalan players to set off and then stop en masse, or the ball got tangled in his legs, so that the Catalan players were offside when the ball cleared the ruck but wasn't checked as it was the fault of the Leeds player. If the Leeds player did dummy, its his fault that Williams was so close to collect the spilled ball.

The dream team is a very subjective thing. No one is going to agree 100%. The one Leeds player who suprised me in the selection is Watkins didn't think he deserved to be in there personally. You might not agree with some of the Leeds players in there but all of them were there or there abouts for selection.

Regarding the game the team were poor and have been since just before the CC final. We seem to love to single out players but the truth is he was the final mistake but there were many more leading up to it. We didn't deserve to win that's sport.
