Not my test by any stretch ,if they dont want to go after 2 matches because they ' might ' not retain their top tier status, that is their decision , but ultimatley any club is only as strong as its fan base, no doubt they enjoyed their time in the sun , I'm sure none of them have ever ' enjoyed ' gloating to Fax, Keighley, Batley or Dewsbury fans recently?

My current "spat" with the blind faithful started back last year when I dared to question a certain Mr Whitcut's pedigree based on the number of failed pub and bars he had left in his wake. At the time, I also questioned Mr Moore's claim that the 3 main areas where the club would generate much needed funds were the Coral Suite, the shop and summer concerts and again I was attacked for "making stuff up".
Well, here we are some 4 months later and Mr Whitcut is now referred to as Mr Whitcu*t by the faithful who defended him so vigorously whilst Belinda Carlisle and Rick Astley helped the club LOSE 100k in 2013...

...and now all the defenders want to talk about is the RFL having it in for them.

It is their decision that is right. If your customers decide not to buy from you then it is a pretty poor business that blames the customer for this.

Bradford have a far stronger fan base than any side not currently in SL. Their worst ever SL attendance would be in Leigh's top 3, about 150% of Leigh's SL average.

If the fans arent buying what you are selling there is a good chance that it is because they dont want what you are selling. If P+R decreases the amount of fans attending games, then it is because despite all your desperate nonsense about the British Sporting psyche. British People dont want P+R

The Catalan attendance i have no idea but im pretty sure the lower figure for Bradford is correct, it was the one given out and the one published by most journalists.

No matter which side of the P&R argument one comes from (and it's one issue where I can honestly claim to be right on the middle of the fence), I don't think anyone should confuse correlation with causation on this. Regardless of whether attendances go up or down this year I couldn't take seriously any argument that said "see, I told you you" with respect to the effect of P&R. WAY too many other factors to draw any conclusion.

The justification and argument for P+R was solely based on the fact that it, and its reintroduction would provide ‘jeopardy’ and ‘jeopardy’ would attract fans.

The fact is it isn’t only this season, it is pretty much every season in the pro era has followed the same pattern. Clubs at risk of relegation attract fewer fans. That is what has happened between 1996 and 2009, and it is what is happening now.

Now you may think that the fall we are seeing at these clubs is down to other factors, so look at them.

Bradford have financial issues. Well yes, but they have had them before; Did we see the same level of drop previously? Also, howmany clubs previously and in the future are likely to be relegated because they are struggling with finances?

You can argue that Wakefields’ stadium issues contribute to their large drop; Wasn’t the franchising put in place precisely to help clubs like Wakefield get a new stadium or at least demand that they had one fit for purpose?

Yes, there are other factors at work, we got rid of P+R because those factors will always be at work and we needed to mitigate them. P+R is, once again, as it always has, exacerbating them.

According to the Bradford Bulls official website, the attendance was 5,410 and 8,500 depending on where you look

I think this one needs to be down sized to 6300. It seems to be the one the superleague website are going with now.

I always remember Bath RU getting 10,200*(figure may be wrong) which was they're maximum attendance every home match. always seemed suspect to me.


Anyway I'm just gonna wait until we take out P+R again in the next few years as low and behold nothing that made the RFL take away P+R last time has changed one dot.

We can just wait until we kill off a few clubs as they attempt to stay up in the SL at all costs or clubs who cannot afford to be relegated. Unless we offer relegated clubs large parachute payments to ease the drop in income.
