Lets be honest.

The way things are these days with the ever widening gulf between those who play in SL and the rest there is no way on this earth a non SL side will win the Challenge cup.

So we have 2 choices.

1. Make it a superleague only comp.

2. Make it a non SL only comp.


There is no third choice.

Warrington were clearly playing a team of a much lower quality than themselves, but even so to score 112 points without conceding isn't bad. Does make you wonder what the point is in having the lower level teams in the cup, although I don't think there would be any other way, a cup competition with only the superleague teams would not be the same.
