Another good signing for Salford. Lots to learn but he has bags and bags of potential.

Last year the Doc signed terrible players and made a big fanfare about it and the fans bought the hype.

This year the announcements are more low key but the quality of signings is miles better so far.

Salford can make the play offs though, granted it's unlikely but a win at Cas, Hudds then at home to Hull FC puts us back in the mix. Caton-Brown and Locke should be available for Huddersfield which will be a boost.

Caton-Brown is a great signing, straight replacement for Martin Gleeson. I would imagine he's taking up less salary cap space too.

There's plenty of pace and attacking ability in that 1-7 possibly only bettered by Leeds Rhinos. If Salford could tempt Jodie Broughton back to the club they'd have the fastest backline in the SL.

They need some more quality in the front row in order to get the best from their half backs and in turn get their backs moving.

Jones-Bishop also to fit in there somewhere, most likely for Meli.

Meli is only on a 1 year deal so swap him for Jones-Bishop.

It is indeed a very exciting back line when you see it written down like that. You're also forgetting Ben Jones Bishop who will, I imagine but may be wrong, replace Meli. BJB isn't lightning fast but he's quicker than Meli.

Not sure it gives them the quickest back line but they must be pretty close.
