Some huge league games coming up for Leigh in May.
London away, Fev away and then Toronto away.

Is the Toronto game actually going to be in Toronto?

Not confirmed and I don't think it will be.
Latest update on the stadium over there was that the work would be completed in June at some point, so the game against Leigh in May looks to be doubtful.

No official word from Toronto yet though.

Leigh play Toronto away on the 30th June. The May fixture is the summer bash @ Blackpool.

The game at Blackpool in May will be decisive. I can see Leigh getting taken to the cleaners by Toronto, and suffering a decline in confidence that will affect their performances thereafter.

Leigh are starting to look like challengers for the middle 8's and although a top 2 finish may be just out of reach (maybe), they look like making the middle 8's
Should be an exciting end to the season but, it's still a huge ask for any of the Championship clubs to come through the middle 8's and gain promotion.

I'd swap them all out,at least you would see some entertainment on Thur/Fri night for a change.

The Championship is the right level for Leigh and Featherstone. It would be great if Toronto, Toulouse and London all gained promotion. However I think only Toronto will gain promotion (if Super League 2019 stays as 12 clubs) with only a small possibility of either London or Toulouse joining them in 2019.

The bookies aren't often wrong, and the second favourites for the Championship are Fev. Leigh's awful start has done for them regarding the top spot, but they'll be stronger when it gets to the M8's. London and TO have no chance of promotion, and neither do Fev or Fax. Toronto and Leigh have the potential, but it would need an implosion from a current SL team (aka Catalans) for that to happen.

At the moment I'd predict a MPG between Cats and one of Toronto or Leigh.

They must be wrong a fair few times during the course of the season as Fev were 4th favourites only a few weeks ago.

This has little to do with Leigh's chances of winning and more to do with their fans' collective optimism and willingness to gamble



The odds are set so that the bookies can make money and not on the ability of said team to win.
Of course, as the odds become more or less attractive or, a club looks nailed on to win something,more people decide to risk their cash.
