| I hope they've got the covers on overnight, I think there's a real danger it could get called off if the rain's as heavy as expected...

Yes. When he won the Lance Todd against Hull.
It was a dire game though played through torrential rain, that day he kicked Hull to death and I expect similar tactics tomorrow but whether it has any bearing on the result not sure.

it would surely have to be rain of biblical proportions for them to call a decider in front of a full house off.

| Mc Banana is a fookin idiot he is a coach and should never hav egot the job. I saoid it at the time he was appointed and have said it every season since.
I laugh at thos ewho have taken 3 years to realise it.
I spoke to a bradford player who was their when he coached.
He told me that he came into the changing room and talked in such a way that the players had no idea what he was on about and stopped listening to him.
He then said we ignored him and just talked about what we were going to do.
He was a waste and still is a waste.
But it will be too late for the rfl to realise it and many of the sheep on here.

| He's that bad Sydney Roosters have just given him a new contract, what a bunch of idiots. And as for all those past and present England players calling for Mcnamara to stay in the job, they haven't got a clue the sheep. If only the RFL listened to Durham Giant and some of the other posters on here.

Probably because they can't find anyone else willing to put the training cones out. If anything this proves that McNamara is a better assistant than Head Coach.

| I think we can do better with the players we have but I am nether sure abput mcnamara nor am I going to blame him out right.
I have the usual feeling of hopelessness getting the train to this match as I have had throughout my life whem it cpmes to an international decider with England involved.
I hopevthey can finally win one but without a fist class coach I doubt we will ever do it.
We see at 3 ish

| i am completely bewildered by the changes that have been made today, and that sums up my feeling about the current coaching setup.
swapping a wing that didnt do anything wrong, and replacing a half with someone who had their worst season for quite a while.
Matty Smith will give you 100%, and will always reach a certain standard, BUT he's been well off his best this year.
Happy to be proven wrong, but neither of these to me will solve the problem of lack of creativity.
Come on WallOfWhite nevertheless !

Well, tbf, McGillvary deserved a chance, but agree with your other points.

| Great finish. NZ look more penetrative than England. Watkins is having a stinker in attack and defence so far.

just what i thought, was hoping to go but didn't bother as it had "sold out", it appears there are a good few thousand empty seats, maybe those seats were sold but the people couldn't brave a bit of rain?

| We still need more from the back row, they're offering nothing again. Good start from McGilvery so far. His positioning has been poor in defence at times, but it's to be expected with a new combination, and of course having Matty Smith, and Whitehead defending inside you doesn't help.

| NZ are making breaks because they're drawing men into the centre by making offloads before spreading it wide. England aren't making breaks because they're just moving the ball predictably. Need more than just barge up the middle from our forwards if we're going to win this.

| I know the early 2 points could prove decisive but I think just as last week it passed the intitiative over to NZ. Smith doing well. Widdop for me isn't an international half back but I suppose we ain't got any other option. When Sam Tomkins is fit what will his role be? Not in the same class at FB as Hardaker. Maybe centre?
