Rather like Graham Taylor, I would just love it if Catalans didn't make the Top 8 and had to slum it with the likes of Leigh in the Middle 8. Still, at least they'd only have to stoop to playing against FFMM for a mere 30 minutes.

That is the beauty of this signing for Leigh and for Fui Fui himself: he won't have to face opposition as fierce and talented as Sam Burgess. He will make an impact simply by virtue of the weakness of his opposition.

In the event of Leigh being promoted to Super League in 2016, Fui Fui will probably not want to face the heightened competition, especially of props from the top four clubs whom I mentioned in an earlier post. He may not want to take up a second year option, if offered. So far he has chosen his correct level for this stage of his career.

Great signing, I love fui fui. Amazed he wasnt signed by a SL club, he is still very good.

The SL clubs media and marketing managers are, or should be, targeting their local areas as that's where the vast majority of their income comes from. They're also currently targeting their core support in order to sell season tickets and shirts.
Why would they be hugely bothered about the RL page of the BBC Sport website. Local news, their own websites and social media are far better tools for them at the moment.

The second year of the contract is Leigh's option. Moimoi wanted a 2 year contract and we negotiated a deal that lets us end our commitment after 12 months if we're not happy. The club has gone in to this deal with their eyes open. We have invested money in a player we have plans to exploit commercially and expect to perform on the pitch. No idea what the deal is with Leigh, but the Trinity chairman has mentioned they made an enquiry but we're put off by his £100k a year salary demands.

If he's on £100,000 a year, then if Leigh were to make the Million £ game and if he does 40 minutes a game, that's £83.33 a minutes or £5,000 an hour.
