So if there were only 5 tries in a game of Rugby League. There's more than 5 mins off the clock, just waiting for the goal kicker to get the ball into position to convert.

Imagine how much time was off in your game against the Roosters 44-12. There was even a penalty goal on top of the 9 tries in that game.

or the Brisbane v Penrith game in Rd 23. 13 tries. The errors that resulting in scrums being formed, and that's not taking into account the ball going into touch at all.

Do you see that your call of 5 minutes is inaccurate.

Even the game with the least amount of points in the NRL last season with 2 tries (ST G v Bris) would have had more than 5 mins of the ball not being in play. There were a total of 14 incomplete sets in that game.

No ones denied that, the original statement was that NRL club teams would win at union against the wallabies to which I replied they couldn't, they aren't built to. They're probably 2 stone a man lighter

All the Wallabies would do is maul their way down the field all the time. RU teams find it difficult to stop a maul in full flow, let alone a team from a sport where mauls don't happen. The Kangaroos would be drawn into committing penalties from which the Wallabies will kick the goals, otherwise they would just kick drop goals.

The Wallabies wouldl make sure that they have a big lead and that there isn't enough time for a comeback before considering whether to open the game up. And then they will brag about how they beat the mighty Kangaroos and how proves once and for all that they are the better rugby team, whilst ignoring the fact they had done it without playing any sort of running rugby.

I have to agree with this. Union is discovering that big is not always better. Too much time in the gym, not enough time practising skills.

That's exactly what would happen although in a cross code game I think the Kangaroos would score more points in their half, they'd rip them to shreds.
