Good news for Salford. If it's marketed right, they should drastically improve their attendances with the last year at The Willows. I for one will be making one last visit whenever we play Salford.

| Leeds have targeted just over a 1k rise on adult season tickets to 12k as well as rises in junior and senior season tickets and memberships, so it is around 14k total up from just below 13k IIRC.
The deadline for the early bird price is 6th December and I understand that the sell the majority (70% or so) before then.

The club are confident of breaking 10k before the end of the cheap ticket deadline next week

Sorry to ask but wasn't the whole idea of the pledge which reduced the price to £60, to commit 10,000 people to buy the season ticket at the reduced price?
Wouldn't that represent a bit of a kick in the teeth if only 8,000 signed up? I mean 2500 people pledging support and then not backing it up?
I thought the plan was to get at least the 10,000 pledgers signed up and with the unbelievably good price hopefully a lot more besides.

| Reckon there will be some pretty decent attendances next year. Wigan, Leeds, Bradford, Wire, Hull and Hull KR for sure, then next year Saints, Cas and Salford move into new stadiums along with the introduction of Widnes who should all get decent crowds.

the funny thing is if cas get their ground sorted and widnes replace wakey, odsal will probably be the worst ground in SL.
the way its going you can see all the heartland clubs getting at least 10,000 each week which would be massive.
and hopefully the big clubs like wigan and hull going for 20,000.

If we could just get a foothold in London and Wales we could be looking at a hugely successful Super League. Cats have been great, we could just do with a couple of Richard Bransons or Russell Crowes to get involved. I still think the RFL should give Barry Hearn a call.

| 1. wakey out, replaced by widnes - widnes will get bigger crowds
2. cas - pressure to finish new ground, will result in crowd increases of 3000 - 5000
3. salford - construction of ground commenced, crowds will double
4. st helens - construction of ground to commence, crowds will rise by up to 5000
5. hull kr - pressure to keep up with other SL clubs and retain SL status has seen almost 1 million pounds in ground improvements leading to bigger crowds
6. bradford - stability in SL sees them reducing season ticket prices and 10,000 stholders
franchising means clubs have to keep improving in all areas, especially if theres a better club in the champ. waiting to get in.

Ah yes, easy to mock but Quins are the team who have consistantly fielded the most "British 17 all season" unlike 80% of SL teams who are packed with 2nd rate Aussies, hence the National team being so far behind the Aussies. Easy to mock Quins but at least they are giving local lads a decent chance.

Franchising keeps loads of dull mediocre teams in the top flight who don't deserve to be their at all.
