I see 3 open areas to the try line for the aussies

Shenton, McGuire/Tomkins and Sinfield.

To counter that though Tomkins/Eastmond could cause the Aussies problems.

Sadly I can't see the Aussies allowing that, but I can see them running through the open areas.

Im worried about the lack of a kicking game especially is Sinfield goes AWOL as he tends to do at international level. For me the half back partnership consists of 2 stand offs who have better running and passing skills than positional kicking skills. No 40 - 20s for us in this game!

I would prefer to have Burgess/Crabtree in the 2nd row to peacock (quicker feet) and rotate Graham from the bench for Morley and Peacock at prop.

Fox scored 3/4 tries against the Welsh and French last year,and set up a try for Myler,but then got dropped for Calderwood in WC!!
Personally I think T Briscoe is rather fortunate to be in the team,but that's my opinion.

You mean the centre thats done more defensive work than all our other backs? and has missed less tackles than most of the back line?

Id like to see Eastmond at 9 to be honest.

Fox is so last year.

Tom Briscoe is a better option than Fox in my opinion, a lot more defensively capable.

I think Fox was hugely unlucky to lose out to Calderwood last year but Briscoe is a real talent and I'm glad he has a chance to play against the best in the world

We have been saying for years we need to give youth a chance... let's hope Eastmond, Briscoe and Tomkins etc take the Aussies by surprise (and Burgess who has had more press but no game time agasint them)

Crabtree....we are in a bad way if he is in the team.

Not played for over a month, and pretty much useless when he does play.

Westwood deserves his place IMO, a solid worker who does the hard graft that we will need and doesn't back out of anythin, my main concern is our centres.

Have to agree, How the blooming heck is Briscoe in there before Fox?? I think Fox just needs to realise Smith doesn't like him and he will only get a game when a new coach comes in...

Before anyone says "But Briscoe's scoring record at the moment is immense" I agree however does he have the pace that Fox does?

it could be something to do with foxs' form at the end of the season being poor, briscoe is one for the future, smith has noticed that, everyone wanted fresh younger players in the squad, briscoe has played more games than tomkins yet everyone screamed to have him in the squad, whilst not disagreeing he shouldn't be, my only concern with tomkins is his attitude when things don't go his way on the pitch, he can show petulance on the pitch
