| a jumper or coat might be sensible, you don't want to be cold - a scarf and gloves will keep you nice and toasty
will they be playing recordings of chants on the PA again? if they book the brass band then please tell them to play songs during the game that are for England

Nobody does it in football for self defence. Nobody does it in union because nobody cares.

Because they'd get their heads kicked in by all the other lovely football fans and the yawnion lot are mainly on freebies from corporations. I think it's great seeing all the fans from different clubs, getting behind their national team.

| If it's as cold as it is where I'm currently stood at salford central train station I'll be in about 2 jumpers and a jacket with a red and White scarf on!

I think some people see it as another sign that fans put their club team before the national team.
I won't be wearing any rugby shirt personally, just a jacket. We are all willing England to win for the good of the game and I will cheer just as loudly for a try from Sam as I will for a try from Ben Westwood or a try from Rangi Chase.
A win in this game will restore some passion into the international game in this country.

| I', not too bothered about people wearing club shirts, i just don't like it when people cheer a player from their club but boo a player from their rivals, that's something that has to stop.
I've said this on anther thread but i really do think the atmosphere could make the difference as the aussies aren't used to it in the NRL. We need to make it as hostile and and intimidating as possible, respect their national anthem remember this isn't chavball but when the game kicks off give the aussies 80 minutes of hell and cheer on our boys as loud as possible.

You're probably right in this assumption but I don't see it that way. In the past, I've been sat with fans from as far flung teams as Cornwall. Maybe if the TV commentary teams could keep emphasising this during the match, it may have an influence on the casual TV specky.

| cant afford to fork out 50 quid on an england shirt on student budget, so will be donning my wigan shirt, I dont see a problem with people wearing their club colours at internationals, we're all backing the same side at the end of the day, does it really matter what we wear.

I see it as a sign that the last few England/GB shirts have been rubbish, we've not had a great shirt since this

| Sorry to put a downer on this thread but I suggest that the atmosphere at Elland Road will be pretty flat when the 14 Aussies on the field chalk up an insurmountable lead.

I suggest you are a fool for thinking the Referee will be at all biased.

No need to be offensive.
Anyway more a matter of empathy than bias.

| Before I set off Saturday, can someone please confirm what I can wear?
I don't have an England shirt. If I'm not allowed my Leeds shirt, shall I just wear a red shirt.
I do have an ashes shirt, that says England thrashed Australia last year, if that is ok?
I'll be wearing a coat anyway, and maybe shoes, as I have to go somewhere after. Shoes is ok, or does have to be trainers?
Someone let me just in case, as I don't want to go against the grain

Don't worry too much about that mate, just make sure you've got your game face on and bring the noise.
