But the elite clubs at the top of the ladder, like St Helens, Wigan, Warrington and Catalans, would not take on a 30 to 40 minute player at that high wage.

Rather like Graham Taylor, I would just love it if Catalans didn't make the Top 8 and had to slum it with the likes of Leigh in the Middle 8. Still, at least they'd only have to stoop to playing against FFMM for a mere 30 minutes.
