| Think there's roughly 1.5 miles from Hilton Park to the LSV, so we're close enough to the 2 mile boundary for it to explain the lack of an increase in crowds

| Quote ="wire-quin"What is the accepted or official demarcation line for SL attendance below which everything else is unacceptable.
Or is this some imaginary figure you have in your mind.
Take a look at what really matters -the league table and maybe reconsider your criteria for SL status.
Lets get rid of Warrington because they are bottom of the fair play league. Surely we only want teams that abide by the rules. They are NL standard in behavioral terms.
Stick with your village fete mentality. Anything more than that will blow your brain'"
I'll ignore the attempted insult
We didn't change the criteria for SL status , it used to be the League table , it no longer is
As regards my demarcation line for acceptable SL attendance levels , that also is not my idea but once again our friends up at Red Hall
As I stated on the post you highlighted , if you keep moving you will never build support , no club would no matter where they are
Just for the record anything under 5,000 paying home spectators is poor in my opinion , what do you think is a reasonable fan base to expect a top grade RL club to attract after 20 odd years ?

If we had stayed at the one ground for that 20 year period I would expect a minimum of 5-7k, but we didn't and we haven't.
If however we are allowed to stay at the Stoop, and if we can continue to survive as any club has to, and if we continue to build the roots of an "alien" sport into the community and make a community around us, then I would consider it a failure if we did not achieve >5k gates within the next 6 seasons.

You think the club has wanted to move everytime? In the past we've been at the mercy of soccer clubs, they'd have us for a couple of years but as soon as things got a bit sticky for them we'd get the elbow, now the club has a stable base we get whinged at for that.

Fair points, but that's not enough growth. You were getting better gates last year - maybe on the back of freebies - but still better gates.
Next year you need to be averaging over 4k and gaining another k in attendence the following year. You've had 4 years as the quinz now, time to get a better crowd.
That's not to say that it is your fault, the fans' fault or that your board is not looking into it (I know they are).

| God I've missed this..........
The only club that can have any issue with London in Superleague is Keighley Cougars, who won the old 2nd division, but were bumped in favour of us. The rest of the clubs whose fans constantly whine about our crowds obviously have no other criteria to try to batter us with. We are no longer a team full of 'stralians, we have one of the best youth/development set ups in the country, are sitting 5th, have 4 GB/England internationals on our books including 2 cockneys, as well as one of the stand out props from the world cup, are not in dire financial straights and have never been relegated.
Widnes fans can have a pop at Catalans because they got Bumped down, but the rest of Rugby League can have no complaints.
Lastly...because someone will eventually post it......we folded and were reinstated by a vote of the superleague chairmen without breaking any competition rules....Oh....we also scored enough points to achieve a licence as well.
BLAME LONDON

Could not agree more about growth, there are numerous reasons/excuses behind the lack of growth and all of them must now be stopped and learnt from. The club in various guises have made incredibly stupid decisions which have alienated what in truth is a fairly neutral fan base towards the sport in London.
The club have to get the sport into the psyche of enough people to build a loyalty element, each and every alteration to playing days, seating arrangements even burger vans and beer prices will in some way alienate a floating supporter into doing something else with his/her time and money.
There is a balance to be struck between being a club in business and being a club built for and with the fans and the community it serves. If Quins cannot get it right this time around, then the idea of a top flight club in London needs to be looked at very seriously.

Based on your criteria of 5000 home paying spectators that could rule out Quins, Reds, Celtic, Cas, Wakey in recent times HKR, Hudds, Wire at Wilderspool.......
So who are you proposing forms the league with Wigan and Leeds?
What's the relevance of 20 odd years? Should Cas have a crowd that is 5 x the size of Quins based on their 100 years of existence?

In reverse order
Not whingeing , just joining in a discussion on the internet
Is this base any more stable than any other base before ?
At the mercy of a landlord is always dodgy , ask W1g4n , or even ourselves at Leigh , in a nice shiny stadium not owned but run by the council , are we better off in it than having a lease at Hilton Park ?
No

My opinion not my ' criteria ' , I dont have a criteria for entrance to SL , never have had , never will have
Why have you forgotten about Bradford,Saints and Hull ?
When has HKR's SL attendances been below my supposed criteria ?
Or Cas,s ?
You seem to think I am looking for an argument , I am not
I mentioned 20 years quite simply because that is a reasonable amount of time to have found somewhere to call home and to have built up a reasonable fan base
Many of your fans cite constantly moving as the reason this has not happened , I agree , so surely the aim should be to find somewhere that you can call home and yet I have read on here that some are suggesting you move again

I don't think Quins attendance's will improve, TBH they should be called London Kiwi or London Kangaroos that way it might encourage the local aussies / kiwis to support them.

It really doesn't matter what Quins do the crap will always be thrown by the usual suspects on here. It doesnt take long to realise that most of them have never spent any time in London and are totally clueless about the different sort of environment we have to work in - hence the totally idiotic solutions they come up with.
I think most people come on here just to slag off all the other clubs, their fans, their players and so on. Its some sort of small town tribalism they have Up North. Nothing much to do with RL at all really. Maybe Quins fans are the only real RL fans around.

| And most away fans who come to the Stoop enjoy the match day experience. A number believe it is the best away day.
Crowds are an easy arguing point. All clubs would love to have bigger crowds. Ive only this morning received a communication from the club MD (as have all ST holders) which highlights the lack of numbers attending as our biggest challenge.
He is targeting our next home game, Wakey next week, for a larger crowd using a couple of initiatives including ST holder introducing 2 fans for free and schools dancing with the winner of Britain's got talent from last year.
1/2 season tickets are also going on sale this week. So there appears to be a bit of impetus coming from the new senior manager
The Quins RU backroom staff are now getting involved. The relationship appears to be getting better between the RU/RL clubs with the RL getting access to data bases by all accounts
We will see.
